No podíamos visitar Los Ángeles y no ir a un tour por unos estudios de grabación. Hay varios en toda la ciudad, peor nosotros elegimos los Warner Bros. por nuestro amor a Friends.
Allí es dónde se grabó la serie que marcó desde nuestra preadolescencia hasta hoy.
Era el cumple de Sil y queríamos un plan especial. Yo la verdad es que me esperaba que me fuese a gustar menos el tour, pero me encantó, fue una de las cosas que más me gustó del viaje.
Hicimos un brunch antes de entrar en un sitio cerca de los estudios, Olive & Thyme, que me encantó. Menos mal que desayunamos fuerte porque el tour fue largo y con la emoción nos olvidamos de comer ni beber durante 5 horas.
We could not visit L.A. and not go on a Studio Tour. There are several throughout the city, but we chose Warner Bros. just because we love Friends.
That's where the TV series that marked me from my teens on.
It was Sil's birthday and we wanted a special plan. The truth is that I was not expecting a lot from the tour, but I loved it, it was one of the things I liked most about the trip.
We had a brunch near the studios before entering at Olive & Thyme, which I loved. Luckily we had a big breakfast because the tour was quite long and with excitement we forgot to eat or drink for a while.

Escogimos el tour en Español pensando que después de la fiesta de fin de año nos daría pereza esforzarnos con el idioma. Resultó ser buena elección porque que éramos menos y no estaba tan masificado. Nos subieron en un carrito para recorrer los studios, los exteriores y luego las naves de los sets. Alucinamos con los exteriores, hay varias zonas que simulan diferentes ciudades: una zona que es Nueva York (donde se rodó Friends, entre otras...), San Francisco, un pueblecito americano (el de Gilmore Girls o Pretty Little Liars) etc, y te das cuenta de que miles de películas se han rodado en el mismo metro cuadrado pero lo ambientan tan bien que no te das ni cuenta.
We chose the spanish tour thinking that after New year's party we would be too lazy to make an effort with the language. It turned out to be a good choice because we were less people so it was not crowded. They put us in a cart to go through the studios and showed us the exteriors and then the stages of the sets. We freaked out with the exteriors, there are several areas that simulate different cities: New York (where Friends was filmed, and others ...), San Francisco, an American village (Gilmore Girls or Pretty Little Liars) etc, and you realize that thousands of movies have been shot in the same square meter but they set it so well that you do not even notice it.
Las casas no tienen pomos, las calles no tienen farolas, es solo una fachada como un lienzo en blanco donde cada set de grabación añade todos los elementos ambientados según la época en la que estén grabando.
Me hizo mucha gracia la curiosidad de que llamaron a gente especializada para pegar chicles en el suelo y en las aceras para que todo pareciera más real.
The houses do not have knobs, the streets do not have street lamps, it is only a facade like a blank canvas where each set adds all the elements acclimated according to the time they are supposed to be.
I was so curious about the specialized people hired to stick gum on the ground and sidewalks to make everything look more real.

Esta es la placita del pueblo donde se han rodado miles de series y abajo tenéis un trozo de parque que era enano y es donde se ruedan las escenas simulando estar en Central Park, o en cualquier parque.
This is the village square where thousands of TV series have been shot. Do you Remember when Rachel and Phoebe run in Central Park? below you have a small piece of park where the scenes shot simulating Central Park, or in any park.

Después hay una parte de museo donde hay trajes de películas como Aquaman o A Star is Born, y donde también tienen el Central Perk (nosotros sólo íbamos para eso).
Los escenarios de Friends se destruyeron al acabar la serie menos el Central Perk que se quitó del set de Friends y se llevó al museo.
Fue muy emocionante verlo, me he hizo hasta pequeño, pero os prometo que me pareció increíble estar allí.
Te dejan sentarte en el sofá y hacerte la foto pero no puedes camiar e investigar por el café como yo pensaba.

The scenarys of Friends were destroyed when finishing the show except the Central Perk that was removed from the Friend's set to the museum.
It was very exciting to see it, It looked smaller that I imegined, but it was incredible to be there.
We could sit on the sofa and take the picture but you we cannot go around the coffee as I thought.
También pasamos por delante del Satage que fue de Friends y de evrdad que me saltaban las lagrimas de la emoción de sólo pensar que aññí habian ido y aparcado durante 10 años, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry y David Schwimmer.
Pudimos ver uno de los sets de grabación por dentro, el de Big Ban Theory. Me encantó! pero no dejaban hacer fotos. Todas las habitaciones estaban una al lado de la otra y la cámara se movía por delante de las habitaciones de un lado a otro y dejaba a sus espaldas al público. Te cuentan además un montón de anécdotas del rodaje y es muy interesante.
We could see inside the Big Ban Theory stage. I loved it! but photos were not allowed. All the rooms were side by side and the camera moved in front of them from one side to the other with the audience behind it.
Comimos en nuestro querido In n' Out y por la tarde fuimos a ver El regreso de Mary Poppins al teatro El Capitan en el Paseo de la Fama. Es el teatro donde estrenan todo los de Disney y es como un musical. Había cerezos en flor por todas partes, el vestuario y los objetos de la película en vitrinas y antes de empezar la peli hubo una especie de espectáculo con diferentes telones, super bonito, hasta que apareció la pantalla de cine para empezar a ver la peli.
We ate at our beloved In n 'Out and in the afternoon we went to see Mary Poppins Return to the El Capitan Theater on the Walk of Fame. It's the theater where all the Disney's premieres take place and it's like a musical. There were cherry blossoms trees everywhere, the costumes and the objects from the film in showcases and before starting there was a kind of show with different curtains, super cute, before the movie screen appeared.
