INAUGURACION. PEDRO RODRIGUEZ

Ayer se inauguró en el Museo del Traje la exposición de Pedro Rodriguez, donde se exponen los dibujos del modisto valenciano. Modisto de alta costura de los años 40 a los años 70, la época dorada de la alta costura.

La exposición cuenta con varias láminas que combinan dibujos, texturas, colores etc. También hay cuadernos de apuntes con los esquemas y los dibujos del modisto. La producción es increíble, hay muchísimas láminas y se puede ir apreciando no sólo la evolución de la moda sino también la de la mano del autor.

La exposición estará hasta el 17 de junio

Yesterday was the Pedro Rodriguez exhibition opening at the Museo del Traje, exhibiting the drawings of the Valencian designer. He was a haute couture fashion designer from the 40's to the 70's, the golden age of haute couture.
The exhibition includes several designs that combine drawings, textures, colors and so on. There are also some notebooks with diagrams and drawings by the designer. The production is amazing, there are many designs and you can appreciate not only the fashion evolution but also the author's hand evolution.
The exhibition runs until 17th June

A TOUCH OF SPRING

LTC: CASA DE VELÁZQUEZ

Hoy nos han llevado en clase a visitar un edificio para que nos inspiremos en nuestro próximo proyecto y os lo enseño porque me ha encantado. Lo tenemos al lado de la escuela de arquitectura y no sabia de su existencia. La Casa de Velázquez se compone de un edificio principal y una serie de casitas que sirven como residencia para estudiantes que llevan a cabo actividades artísticas. Son unas casitas como con talleres de escultura, pintura...para que cada alumno desarrolle su creatividad dentro de un jardín la verdad que precioso. Es un jardín al estilo francés, en pendiente, aterrazado, con fuentes que van cayendo en el eje del edificio principal.

Tiene que ser increíble vivir en un sitio así y encima en medio de la ciudad universitaria, dentro de Madrid.Parece como si estuvieses fuera de la gran ciudad pero esta muy cerca de todo.

Today we have visited a building to inspire us in our next project and I want to show you because I found it beautiful. We have it next to the Architecture  School and we did not know of its existence. La Casa de Velázquez is composed by a main building and  some little houses as a residence for students from artistic activities. They have spaces to do sculpture, painting ... so that each student can develop their creativity within a beautiful garden. It is a French-style garden, sloping, terraced with fountains that fall on the axis of the main building...

It must be amazing to live in a place like that and also in the middle of the campus, so close to the downtown. It feels like being outside a big city but is not.

CATCHING UP

Hacia tiempo que estaba desconectada del mundo de las revistas y por fin me he puesto al día. Limonada y mis imprescindibles ELLE y VOGUE (tengo pendiente Harper's) con Lana del Rey de fondo. YOU KNOW ME WELL

Como me conocen mis amigas Ines y Maria. Nos hicimos mejores amigas en el instituto y aquí seguimos :). Me regalaron un collar el otro día y en cuanto lo abrí se me iluminó la cara. No me podía gustar mas! todo el mundo me lo ha dicho, es totalmente de mi estilo. Me encanta cuando me hacen regalos así.

Muchísimas gracias  alas dos por este collar tan alucinante de Mango, es precioso, además...¿cuando no llevo yo un collar?

Nobody knows me better than my friends Maria and Ines. We became best friends in highschool and there we are :). They gave me a necklace as a gift and as I opened it my face turned bright. That could not be more perfect! everyone has told me it is totally my style. I love that kind of  gifts.

Thank you for this amazing Mango necklace, It is beautiful, and well ... when I'm not wearing a necklace?

Me encanta esta casita. Es una renovación de una casa en Treia  por Wespi de Meuron. Era una antigua casa de campo que un arquitecto coge y la renueva. Restaura el original manteniendo la estructura pero añade elementos contemporáneos para dar este resultado que combina lo moderno y lo antiguo.

I love this house. Is a renovation of a house in Treia by Wespi de Meuron. It was an old country house that an architect takes and get renewed. He restored it maintaining the original structure and making some adds with contemporary elements to give this result. Combining modern and ancient spaces.

Ya esta haciendo tiempo de primavera :) por fin puedo volver a usar las chaquetas kimono que tanto me gustan y esta es del mismo color que los tacones nuevos de VJSTYLE, me gusta el nude con vaqueros.

Spring time is here :) finally I can use my kimono jackets again. I love wearing them and this one is the same color of the new VJSTYLE heels, I love nude with jeans.
