LTC.
Salir a tomar algo, comprar, visitar algún museo...
We entered in the Salamanca's district. I love Serrano st. One of the most exclusive streets of Madrid. There you can see the best boutiques of the Capital. There is Tiffany's in Ortega y Gasset:) (I visit it every year at the Vogue Fashions Night outfor to take a Breakfast-at-Tiffany's-breath ).
In Claudio Coello there is the Unico Hotel. The building is so beautiful and gives you the feeling of coming back to the late nineteenth century, the time of Plan Castro. A typical building of the Madrid's new ditrict plan taat is classically decorated but also with modern lines in black and white.
What i really liked was that, the decor: chairs, lamps, carpets and libraries. You don't lose the nineteen's feeling but it has a modern style and a very clean design.
It is a small and exclusive hotel to stay if you want to enjoy the neighborhood. Going out for a drink, go shopping, visit some museum ...
They have a library room where you can relax and check out current books and magazines. It's a small place that makes you feel like being in a living room. It was very warm. They also have meeting rooms, conference rooms ...
The bedrooms, also in black and white, are clean and elegant. What I loved was a piece of floor, done as a mosaic, with colored pieces, so Mediterranean.
The rear garden terrace is lovely. It has chairs, high and low tables, .... It works as a garden in the mornings, where the breakfast takes place, and as an outdoor terrace at night to go out for a drink.
Furthermore, the restaurant has two Michelin stars. I have not triedit but it should be delightful , I leave It pending :)
I appreciate very much the kindness of the hotel, that let us know this exclusive place.
