Me encantan este tipo de libros ilustrados de fotografías y texto. Tengo varios de estilo y de cocina. Cuando me enteré que Haylie Duff había sacado su propio libro de cocina "The real girl's kitchen" supe que quería tenerlo en mi estantería con otros libros como el de Rachel Zoe, el de cocina de Mujeres desesperadas, el de Lauren Conrad, el de Sex and the City o el de las gemelas Olsen. Mi estantería siempre tiene un apartado de americanadas y cómo se acerca mi cumpleaños me lo autoregalé. Es precioso, esta editado muy cuidadosamente con una fotos muy bien elegidas y lleno de recetas sanas y variadas.

I love this kind of books full of photos and text. I have several ones about style and cuisine. When I found out that Haylie Duff had published hes own cookbook "The real girl's kitchen" I knew I wanted it to be on my rack with other books like Rachel Zoe's, the Desperate Housewives  kitchen, the Lauren Conrad's, the Sex and the City's or the Olsen twins'. My bookshelf has always a section of american style and now that my birthday is coming I made myself a gift. It's beautiful, very carefully and concisious edited with a very well chosen photos and full of healthy and varied recipes.

 

A pesar de que no tengo mi mejor cara y el cansancio hace que las ojeras lleguen a los pies, quería compartir esta entrada con vosotros. En un break en la preciosa biblioteca a la que fuimos a pasar el día. Para mí fue un dia black and white con un toque burdeos. No es ningún secreto que esta combinación de colores me encanta y me saca de los peores apuros.

La verdad es que estudiar con tus amigas en una biblioteca ideal, mirando a un patio y descansando al sol no está tan mal, verdad? :)

Primera semana de diciembre superada. Me encanta como está la ciudad preparándose para la navidad. La Castellana está llena de luces, son nuevas y quedan preciosas todas blancas en los árboles. Además el otro día estuve estudiando en Starbucks y sonaban villancicos americanos que me recordaron a las navidades que pasamos en Nueva York. Esa mañana pasó lo más inesperado del mundo. Fue de película. Yo estaba estudiando en Starbucks mirando hacia la ventana y de repente pasó una amiga mía de Galicia que hacía mil años que no veía y que había perdido su teléfono. Fue un reencuentro en toda regla porque ella sólo había venido un par de días a Madrid, y no es precisamente pequeño...pues ahí estuvimos poniéndonos al día de todo, me quedé con una sensación estupenda todo el día, me hizo mucha ilusión.
First week of December is over. I love how the city is getting ready for Christmas. The Castellana is full of lights, new and beautiful all white hanging from the trees. Also the other day I was studying at Starbucks and American carols were playing so that reminded me a lot of the Christmas I spent in New York two years ago. That morning happened the most unexpected thing in the world. It was a moment like in the movies. I was at Starbucks looking out the window when suddenly a friend of mine from Galicia was standing there, just in front of my eyes. We did't see each other for a long time and I had lost her phone. It was a huge coincident. she was spending just a couple of days in Madrid, and it is not exactly small ... well there we were catching up all and I left with a great feeling, It was really exciting.

 

Brugal celebró su 125 aniversario en la sala Kapital de Madrid. Una noche de fiesta llena de gente, música, luces, comida y bebida además de estar llena de caras conocidas. Hacía mucho tiempo que no iba al Teatro Kapital y me gustó mucho, le tengo cariño a esa sala. Estaba decorado especialmente para esta ocasión y predominaban los colores de la marca, rojo, azul y blanco. Una noche estupenda dedicada exclusivamente a Ron Brugal.

Brugal celebrated its 125th anniversary in the Kapital Theatre in Madrid. A party night full of people, music, lights, food and drink and also a lot of familiar faces. The last time I went to the Teatro Kapital was a long time ago and really liked to be there again. It was decorated specially for the occasion and dominated the brand colors, red, blue and white. Such a great night dedicated to Ron Brugal.

He decidido que no paso más frío en clase. Es muy desagradable estar todo el día tiritando por tener el frío metido en el cuerpo. Ahora voy abrigada hasta arriba. Me gusta usar colores claros o empolvados en esta época del año. Que da muy invernal cosas gordas que abriguen pero claritas. Además tengo muchas ganas de ir a la nieve. Un fin de semana espero ir a la sierra con el coche de excursión y pasar el día en la montaña caminando para acabar con una taza de café caliente en algún restaurante de madera con una chimenea increible :) Es el planazo del invierno.

I have decided to stop feeling cold while I'm taking my lessons . It is very unpleasant to spend the day shivering because the cold is inside my bones. Now I'm going to warm myself up. I like to use light or dusty colors at this time of year. It is very wintry fat but light pieces of cloth. Also I can't wait to go to the snow. One weekend I'll drive up to the mountains to spend the day hiking and walking on the snow and ending up in a wooden restaurant with an amazing fireplace drinking a cup of hot coffee:) Is is the best winter activitie.

Ha llegado el que para mÍ es el mejor mes del año. No sólo por ser el mes de mi cumpleaños, sino porque llegan las navidades, todo se vuelve blanco, la ciudad se llena de luces y hay mil planes diferentes. Patinar sobre hielo, ir a tomar chocolate caliente, ir a la sierra a esquiar....En realidad empezaré a disfrutar en cuanto acabe los exámenes (no todo lo del mes es bueno). El día 20, mi cumple, por fin soy libre :)
