Cuando llega el frío ya siento las navidades en casa. Tardes oyendo llover fuera, días de comidas y meriendas familiares, el sonidito de los tacones por toda la casa, la búsqueda de nuevos outfits y nuevas recetas para hacer. El invierno no suele gustarme. El frio y la lluvia me entristecen pero me doy cuenta que llegan esos días se me hace más llevadero.

When it's cold I feel the holidays at home. Afternoons hearing the rain outside, days of family meals and delicious cakes, the little sound of heels all over the house, finding new outfits and new recipes to make. I'm not a winter lover. The cold and the rain make me feel a bit irritated but then I realize that these kind of lovely days are comming and my mood became more bearable.

En los días de frío me encantan los gorros de lana. Sobretodo cuando voy a esquiar los uso muchísimo  Tengo de todos los tipos pero me faltaba este modelo :) el de los dos pompones simulando orejitas. Queda monísmo. Este es blanco de Sheinside. Me gustan los complementos de invierno. Cuando te cansas de llevar siempre el mismo abrigo, cambias el gorro o la bufanda y vas diferente.


On cold days I love hats especially when I go skiing. I have a lot I have ot them but model was missing. This one  simulating the two ears. It is so cute. Thiswhite one is form Sheinside. I love winter accessories. When you get tired of the coat you can always change the hat or the scarf and you look different.

He llegado a casa! Estos días he tenido algo mas abandonado el blog porque entre despedidas, maletas y vuelos he tenido un poco de lío . Pero ya he vuelto a Madrid por navidad!. Una de las primeras cosas que hice, a parte de ver a mi familia claro, es ir a casa de mi mejor amiga, mi segunda familia. Estaban poniendo el árbol con villancicos a tope y no me pude resistir, me quedé con ellos. Tienen un arbol muy americano  lleno de bolas cada una de un sitio.
Para mí hay dos tipos de arboles con encanto, o los que son de un color o los que son todo excesos como la navidad. Este arbol es como un album de recuerdos en el que cada adorno tiene algún significado.

I am home! These days I have been a bit busy because of goodbyes, luggage and the flight and I had a bit trouble with the posting but I'm back to Madrid for Christmas!. One of the first things I did ,apart of seening my family, of course, is to go to my best friend's, my second family. They were fixing the christmastree with carols out lought and I could not resist, I stayed with them. They have a very American tree full of balls one each place.
For me there are two types of trees with charm,  those who are of one olor or the ones all with the Christmas excesses. This tree is like a scrapbook in which each ornament has a meaning.
I really liked the comming back :)

Estas son unas imágenes (hechas con el móvil y cogidas de Instagram) de adelanto a los siguientes post en los que os contaré el viaje en coche que hemos hecho por el norte de Italia este fin de semana. No sólo hemos visitado Vicenza y las Villas de Palladio sino que también hemos pasado por Padua, Ferrara y Bolonia. Han sido unos días de muchísimo frío y nos ha nevado, pero ha merecido la pena,. Además ver todo blanco ha sido aun mas bonito.
Como echaba de menos este tipo de viajes en coche, donde no tienes horarios y vas viendo todo lo que se te pone delante del camino. También aprovechamos para visitar a algunos amigos. Es lo bueno de estar todos de Erasmus, siempre hay alguien que te recibe en la ciudad que visitas :)


These are some preview pictures (taken with the cellphone or from my instagram) for the next post where I will show you the road trip we did through the north of Italy this weekend. Not only we visited Vicenza and the Palladian Villas but also we have stopped in  Padua, Ferrara and Bologna. They were very cold days and It also snoweds but it was worthy, and seeing everything covered in white make it even more beautiful.
I missed this type of road trips where you go by car and do not have timetables, where you are able to see everything that crosses in front of the road. In addition we visited some friends in Ferrara and Bologna. Is it one of the good things about the Erasmus, there's always someone that welcomes you in each city you visit :)

Colores claros en invierno. Me parece que queda genial y aquí lo he visto mucho. El otro día recibí este abrigo blanco de Romwe. En otro momento a lo mejor me habría planteado si tenerlo o no porque es muy delicado, pero estando en Milán definitivamente sí :) y no me arrepiento

There's one thing Ithat I love:  wear light colors in winter, looks great and people here wear them a lot. The other day I received this white coat form Romwe. It's something that on an another time maybe I wouldn't have because it is very delicate, but being in Milan the answer is definitely yes :) and no regrets. 

Hay un montón de sitios preciosos a las afueras de Madrid. Los que mas me gustan son El Escorial, La Granja y Aranjuez. Los dos últimos es por mi obsesión con los palacios barrocos. El de Aranjuez es más grande que el de la Granja...una especie de mini-Versalles :)
Me entusiasman los palacios de esa época (los jardines en tridente, las ventanas rectangulares, los adornos, los espejos, la decoración...), uno de los sitios que tengo pendiente ver es precisamente Versalles. De momento me encanta pasearme las mañanas de domingo por los alrededores de los palacios que tengo a menos de una hora de casa y ya de paso pasamos la mañana en familia :)

There are plenty of beautiful places on the nearbythe city. The ones that I like the most are El Escorial, La Granja and Aranjuez. The last two ones because of my baroque palaces obsession. The Aranjuez palace is larger than La Granja one ...like a mini-Versailles :)
I am excited about the palaces of that time (trident gardens, rectangular windows, ornaments, mirrors, decoration ...), one of the sites that I have to see before I die is Versailles. For the moment I walk around on Sunday mornings by the palaces that I have less than an hour from home and I spent the morning there with my family :)

During the month of January and I didn't notice when was weekend or not, I was on vacation (the only difference was my parents having breakfast at home or not ...) now I've started my lessons I enjoy Saturday and Sunday the best I could. Housework mornings, family dinner, movie and nap, some gym and going out at night for some drinks :)

Yesterday I was invited to the birthday party that a friend made at home. She prepared it with all kind of details. She has a sort of enclosed terrace where there was cold and she was decorated as a Nordic space with candles, flowers and a table full of snacks. Each dish was carefully thought out and prepared, it was great. Then we went into a huge and beautiful  diningroom: cava chicken, spinach and nuts salad, red wine, chocolate mousse ... I realised I had my new mobile application that makes retro snapshots with all kinds of effects.

Happy Birthday Lore!

If I loved the orange bag, now I'm in love with the white jacket. I've always loved pale colors in winter, black and white is one of my favorite combinations, even if It's a classic. Also, If I wear a touch of color with that, like this time with the orange bag I feel like the happiest girl in the world. I think this jacket is amazing because depending on how you put it on it changes, hidding more or less the skin within. I think it looks great.

I love the Campo del Moro gardens :) as I got the red CHICWISH cape I figured myself in those french style gardens. I see me so red riding hood with it, I'm just missing the two braids. The cape is so original and it looks great with the belt. I've always been identified with this character, since I was little I was dressed up as Red Riding Hood so many times. When I saw the cape at I could not resist to get it.

I think we're done with the tacky song mix list we took. If there was someone singing or screaming down the tracks or on the chairlift that were us. We did not stop singing the list we have done together. Even on the night, when we went out to dance there's more of the same.
Best moments: when we stopped at the track restaurant and we laid down on the loungers under the sun, the moment we came home and took off the ski boots, when we took a nap together on our pajamas at 6 p.m., when we fell down in the snow and rolled down with no intention of standing again ....¿ for what reason? if we were afraid to go down :)

In addition dark green goes great with it. That day my brother took us to dinner to a restaurant and choose this outfit.

Hacia mucho tiempo que no hacia una entrada "Living the City" y es que por fin he sacado tiempo para ir a ver el Palacio de Cristal de Retiro. Iba cuando era pequeña y tenia un recuerdo de el precioso pero hacia años que no iba. Convencí a Lau y a Jorge para ir a dar una vuelta y verlo. Había expuesta una construcción dentro del propio palacio que hacia como de una segunda piel en el interior. Parecía como un palacio de cristal azul celeste con perforaciones por donde entraba la luz dentro del verdadero palacio, como una constelación. Me recordó a las muñecas rusas que van una dentro de otra.

There's a long time since I didn't makea "Living the City" post and I've finally found the time to go see the Crystal Palace at the Retiro Gardens. I went there when I was a child and I had a wonderful memory about it. I persuaded Lau and Jorge to go for a walk and see it. There was a Construction exposed inside the palace like a second skin on the inside. It seemed like a blue crystal palace with perforations, through which the light entered, into the realpalace, as a constellation. It reminded me of Russian dolls that go one into each other.
