Después de estas mini vacaciones estoy de vuelta en Madrid. En principio Julio, como todos los años, me quedo en la ciudad y en agosto estoy en el norte de España todo el mes. Ahora que he vuelto, a pesar de estar de vacaciones, tengo muchos proyectos en mente y aprovechando el tiempo libre estoy descubriendo sitios nuevos.

After this short break I'm back in Madrid. I'm gonna spend July here like every year, and I'm going   to the north of Spain in August. Now that I'm back, despite being on holiday, I have many projects in mind and taking advantage of the free time I am finding new places in the city.
El otro día fuimos a los microteatros, "funciones de 15 minutos para menos de 15 personas" en la C/ Loreto y Chicote, 9. Allí puedes tomarte algo y ver una ´representación corta en una sala minúscula donde los actores parecen formar parte del público y tu parte de la obra.

The other day we went to the microteatros, "15 minutes plays to less than 15 people" in the C / Loreto y Chicote, 9. There you can have a drink and watch a short performance in a tiny room where the actors seems to be part of audience and you may be part of the play.
Ayer, para celebrar nuestro semi-aniversario (dos años y medio juntos)  Miki me llevó a ver Burundanga, en el Teatro Lara,  C/ Corredera Baja de San Pablo 15. Me encantó la obra, no es nada cara y pasas una hora y media muy divertida.

Yesterday, for our semi-anniversary (two and a half years together) Miki took me to see Burundanga, at the Teatro Lara, C / Corredera Baja de San Pablo 15. I loved the play, is not expensive and you have a really good time for hour and a half.
También he estado por primera vez en el Mercado de San Ildefonso. Lleva muy poco tiempo abierto en c/Fuencarral 57. Tiene muy buen ambiente y terrazas entre medianerías donde degustar todo lo que ofrecen. Por la noche sobretodo es muy agradable.

I have also been  in the Mercado de San Ildefonso. It is opened for a really short time at c / Fuencarral 57. It has great atmosphere and terraces between fences to taste everything they offer. Itis very nice especially at night.
  

For me the best summer days include long sleeping, breakfast on the terrace, beach hours and eat late, a mini nap and get ready to go out the promenade for dinner or a cocktail. After all day under the sun a cold shower, a nice dress and some heels. The last rays of the evening sun and the sea at night.
If I had the Maleficent horns I would have worn them with this dress :)

Por la tarde hicimos una mini excursión para conocer más sitios alrededor. Yo esta zona la conozco muy poco me encantó ver más sitios. Peñíscola tiene una playa y un casco antiguo ideales, cuando íbamos paseando por las calles de cuestas estrechas con las casas blancas, las scooter arriba y abajo, enredaderas, persianas de madera y flores por todas partes me recordó mucho a cuando visitamos las islas del Lago Maggiore. Además tuvimos muchísima suerte, hizo un día precioso hasta que nos subimos en el coche para volver a casa. Se puso a llover y cuando nos bajamos otra vez ya había parado :)

In the afternoon we did a mini tour  to know more places around. I don't know this area so it's fun to find new places. Peñíscola has a lovely beach and an ideal old town, when we went walking through the narrow streets with white houses, scooters up and down, creepers, wooden shutters and flowers it  reminded me the time we visited the islands in Lake Maggiore. It was perfect because it was a lovely day until we got in the car to go home. It strated raining and when we got off again I had stopped :)

Nos hemos escapado Miki y yo unos días a la playa, en Oropesa del Mar. Después del workshop en el campo sobreviviendo como podíamos en la naturaleza, tocan unos días más civilizados y de relax. Aquí dormimos bajo techo, tenemos ducha, baño y ropa limpia :)
Me encanta porque todavía la playa tiene poca gente y estamos disfrutando de los primeros días de sol y calor sin que esté todo abarrotado. He querido hacerme las fotos en esta avenida, mi favorita. Una recta llena de palmeras a los lados que me trae muy buenos recuerdos. Otro año que vinimos con todos nuestros amigos la recorríamos en coche con las ventanillas bajadas y escuchando Whistle de FloRida, que por entonces era el éxito del momento.


Miki and I are a few days at the beach in Oropesa del Mar. After the workshop in the countryside surviveing in the nature, this is more civilized and relaxing. Here we sleep indoors, we have shower, and clean clothes :)
I love it because the beach is still uncrowded and we are enjoying the early days of sun and warmth without being all full of people. I wanted to make photos on this avenue, my favorite. A streight avenue full of palm trees on the sides that brings me good memories. Another year we came with all our friends and we drive the avenue with the windows down and listening Whistle by FloRida, the hit of the moment.

Hay dos pastelerías Mamá Framboise en Madrid y esta es la nueva que han abierto en Platea, calle Goya. Es una pastelería española especializada en postres franceses. Yo digo que es Laduree Madrileña. La pastelería de Fernando VI, 23 es más chiquitita y tiene un aspecto francés. Sin embargo la nueva que han abierto en Platea es muy grande tiene un estilo más inglés. Un estilo Londinense envuelve el local: el suelo simula a la calle, hay semáforos en el interior, una bici, una caja registradora muy peculiar y una estantería llena de artículos de viaje. La carta es un periódico y en él cuenta todos los productos artesanos que ofrece la pastelería. Lo que me encanta de Mama Framboise es que se nota que es artesano, la fruta es fruta natural, los postres no son extremadamente azucarados y la bollería es muy fina.
Si tenéis ocasión de pasar por alguna de las dos boutiques no lo dudéis.
Una curiosidad (ya la puse en twitter pero para los que no lo visteis): ¿sabíais que los macaroons no son franceses? son italianos! eso nos contó Alejandro Montes, el maestro chocolatero de Mama Framboise, yo no tenía ni idea...estaba totalmente engañada por la moda :)

There are two Mama Framboise in Madrid and this is the new one, opened at Plataea, (Goya Street). It is a Spanish bakery specializing in French pastry. I say it's the Madrid's Laduree. The Fernando VI boutique, is al little smaller and it looks so French. But the new one at Plataea is bigger and English style. It seems like London in the store: the floor simulates the street, traffic lights in the interior, a bike, a peculiar cash register and a shelf full of travel items. The menu is a newspaper and it has all the handmade products they offer. What I love the most is the fact that Mama Framboise tastes craftsman, the fruit is real fruit, desserts are not overly sugary and pastries and is very thin.If you have the occasion to go through one of the two boutiques go there and try the classic pastry.Something curious: did you know that macaroons are not French? they are Italian! Alejandro Montes,  the master chocolatier of Mama Framboise, told us.I had no idea ... I was totally blinded by fashion :)
