Today is about cocktails. Yes, this weekend it has been one of our passtimes. Elena and I traying gintonics around Milan. As old times ;)
Al principio el vestido no me convencía mucho, lo de corto delante y largo detrás no estaba segura de que me fuese a sentar bien, pero definitivamente me apunto. Queda increíble. Puede dar juego en tantas ocasiones: con sandalias planas para una noche de paseo y copas, con taconazos para un sitio elegante, formal o solo arreglado. Creo que lo voy a usar bastante :)
So long wearing sweaters make me do that. When Elena called me and said "I'll take you to a nice place for a drink" I get my new Sheinside dress and my high sandals (heels at last!) :) It was one of those days that we both wanted to get pretty and go out. At first the dress didn't convince me at all, short in the front front and long behind... I was not sure to fit in properly, but definitely I'm in!, it is incredible. It can be used in so many situations: with a pair of golden flat sandals for a night walk and some drinks, with high heels for a fancy place, formal or just well dressed. I think I'll use it a lot this summer :)
Si tengo que resumirlo en una frase diria "2011, un buen año". Mi entrada en la veintena ha sido increible, se me acabaron los 20 y espero que los 21 sean mejores aun.
Ha sido un año lleno de viajes, de salidas nocturnas, de momentos familiares y momentos fuera de casa. Aunque una de mis mejores amigas, Maria, se fue de erasmus y pensé que lo llevaria mal, menos mal que existe Skype y puedo aburrirla con mis historias a pesar de estar a km de distancia.
Recuerdo cuatro viajes importantes: el de Cancun con todo mi curso, el de verano en la playa, el fin de semana en Granada con mis amigos y la semana en NY con mi madre y mi hermana.
Cada uno de ellos me ha marcado muchísimo.
Este final de año ha sido especialmente bueno, creo que el mejor. He aprobado todo, me he ido a NY en navidades, la cena de noche buena salió genial, me prepararon un cumpleaños que nunca olvidaré y estoy tan feliz que hasta me asusta.
Se que el año que viene va a ser diferente pero mejor. Empieza a cambiar mi visión de las cosas y se que va a haber cambios en mi vida. No me asusta nada. Ademas voy a echar la instancia para irme a estudiar fuera el curso que viene...poco a poco me voy haciendo más independiente.
Si abrí el blog para ver como iba evolucionando a lo largo de la carrera puedo decir que este es un momento clave y esta noche pienso celebrarlo :)!
Espero que paséis una noche increíble y que el año que viene este lleno de cosas buenas.

If I have to resume the year in one sentence I would say "2011 was a good year." My twenties entry has been incredible, I just hope the 21's will be better.
It's been a year full of travelling, nights out, family moments and also moments away from home.Although one of my best friends, Maria, was out of the country, luckily there is Skype and I can bore her with all my stories despite being miles away.
I remember four important voyages: Cancun with my classmates, summer on the beach, the Granada weekend with my friends and the NY experience with mum and my sister.
Each of them has touch me a lot.
This end of the year has been particularly good, I think the best. I passed all my exams, I have gone to NY at Christmas, Christmas Eve was great, I had a birthday I will never forget and I am so happy that even scares me.
I know next year will be different but also better. My view of things begins to change and there will be changes in my life, I know that. I'm not afraid at all. Also I'll take the instance to go away the next academic year ... and I am gradually becoming more independent.
If I opened the blog to see how my life is changing during this years I can say this is a key moment and I'm celebrating that tonight:)! I hope that you spend an amazing night and the next year is full of good things.

También es el único día del año en el que guardas sitio en el estómago para la cena porque sabes que va a ser como una boda.
Nos reunimos toda la familia de mi madre en casa de mi tía y el menu fue como todos los años, siempre lo digo "Sopa, animal y postre!". Estuve con Elena que acababa de llegar de NY y me contó todo su viaje.
Para la cena elegí algo sencillo pero de noche. Una falda tubo negra, camiseta plateada y salones negros.
Después de la cena me fui un rato con mis amigos para lucir modelito y felicitarnos las fiestas en persona :)
I love this night because it is the first of all the holidays and is very special. I also love it because I always think that the whole planet is doing the same that day...It's weird...:)
It is also the only day of the year when you keep space on your stomach for dinner because you know it will be like a wedding menu,
We met my mum's family at my aunt's place and the menu was like every year, as I always say "soup, animal and dessert". I was with Elena there who had just arrived from NY and she told me about the trip.
For the ocasion I chose something simple but bright. A black pencil skirt, silvershirt and black pumps.
After dinner I went out with some friends to wish merry christmas to eachother and to show the outfit around :)

Ya me quedan menos días en la city y estoy aprovechando el tiempo al máximo. Ayer salimos de cócteles las chicas! Chiara, Elena y yo a Yambala, en mi opinión el sitio donde hacen los mejores mojitos de mango. Están increíbles y además es un sitio agradable porque puedes estar tumbada o sentada sobre cojines, esta muy bien ambientado.
Me gustan mucho las noches de chicas, las conversaciones son diferentes a las que tengo cuando salimos chicos y chicas :)
Cócteles en el centro, una excusa para vernos un rato y para ponernos guapas!
We went to Yambala, in my opinion the best place to take a mango mojito. They are incredible, and it is also a nice place because you can be lying or sitting over cushions, It is so well acclimated.
I love this kind of girls nights, conversations are different from those I have when we go boys and girls :)

Este fin de semana Elena montó una Cocktail Party como nunca antes había visto. Ha sido la primera fiesta totalmente ambientada para tomar cockteles en la que he estado.
Tenia un carrito con todo lo necesario. Copas de colores de diferentes tipos según quisieses un mojito, un cosmopolitan o una mexicola. Sirenas para remover, molinillos para adornar, lima, hierbabuena, zumo de arándanos...hasta macaroons!
Fue una celebración de los 22 perfecta. El sitio que eligió fue la terraza de una amiga suya en las afueras de Madrid Césped artificial, manta de patchwork, cojines, lucecitas por todas partes, velas, tules cayendo y un proyector de estrellas.
It had a desk with everything you need. Glasses from different colors. You can have a mojito,cosmopolitan or a Mexicola. Sirens to remove the liquid, grinders for make it cool, lime, mint, cranberry juice ... even macaroons!
It was the perfect 22 birthday celebration. The chosen place was a friend's terrace outside of the city. Artificial turf, patchwork blanket, cushions, lights everywhere, candles, tulle falling and a star projector.
Esto ya no está tan céntrico...Las Rozas Village es el outlet de Madrid por excelencia. Está e las afueras pero puedes comprar prendas de fuera de temporada de las grandes marcas a un precio más razonable.
Tiene un puntillo hortera porque imita al estilo americano de pueblecitos de casas bajas en los tratan de darle encanto a las calles decorándolas con "bicis aparcadas", flores, banquitos...
Todo muy cartón-piedra pero que sinceramente yo prefiero algo así y al aire libre que meterme en un centro comercial con fluorescentes.
Para pasar la tarde no está mal y puede que encuentres algún chollo :)
Yo fui con Elena un rato a ver tiendas y a tomar algo en el starbucks mientras elegíamos cócteles para su fiesta de cumpleaños. Al final además encontré unas bailarinas en Fun&basics.
It is a bit tacky because ittries to imitate the American style of little houses creating a village and they try to give the charm using "parked bikes", flowers, benches ...
All of It very papier-mâché but honestly I prefer this, something outdoors, than getting into a mall and buy under fluorescents.
To spend an afternoon is not so bad and you may find a bargain :)

La semana que abrieron fui con mis padres a ver la nueva tienda de Adolfo Dominguez. Nos enteramos que habían rehabilitado todo un edificio en la Calle Serrano con moda hombre, mujer, linea U, niños, casa...pero lo que descubrí más tarde, y me enamoró, fue el café lounge de la planta alta.
He ido varias veces a tomar sus zumos ricos en vitamina C y los tés que sirven en bandejita con una galleta y una chocolatina (A Sil le encantan). Suelo ir con LOHDZ a pasar algunas de nuestras tardes de #frikadasymoda.
Es un sitio muy agradable con sofás y una luz tenue que no conoce mucha gente.
Lo que me gusta de este edificio es lo acogedor que resulta. Las tiendas con suelos y acabados de madera tienen una calidez especial y encima, en ésta hay plantas en cualquier sitio. Tiene un ambiente acogedor que es difícil encontrar cuando sales de compras.
No he hablado sección de novias :). una vez mi madre y yo nos quedamos pasmadas mirando cada vestido y nos dijeron "¿Puedo ayudarlas en algo?" y mi madre "Es que se casa la niña y estamos mirando" (No sabía donde meterme...)
Por esto he querido hacer un post sobre la tienda. Porque es uno de los sitios de Madrid a los que suelo ir y que quería compartir con vosotros. Elena y Lau me acompañaron, vimos la tienda y como no, granizados en la última planta :)
I went with my parents went to see the new Adolfo Dominguez store the week it opened . We learned that an entire building had been rehabilitated at Serrano st. with man's fashion, woman's fashion, U Line, children, home ... but what I discovered later, and I fell in love with, was the coffee lounge upstairs.
I've gone several times to take their juices rich in vitamin C and the tea serving with a cookie and a chocolate Sil loves it). I usually go with LOHDZ to spend some of our #freakandfashion evenings

I have not spoken about the wedding section. One time my mother and I got stunned watching each dress and someone said " can I help you?" and my mother answered "the girl is getting married and we are looking" (I do not know what to say...)

Los jardines del Palacio están llenos de laberintos! me sentía como Alicia en el país de las maravillas :)
Siempre me han alucinado los laberintos, de pequeña era obsesivo. Quería encontrarme con alguno de verdad y perderme realmente dentro.
Cuando vi Maria Antonietta por primera vez lo que mas me gustó fue la escena cuando en la fiesta privada de palacio todos los invitados juegan de noche al escondite en el laberinto de la corte. Es genial, setos altos y antorchas.

When I saw Maria Antonietta the movie the scene I liked the most was the private party one at the palace gardens, where the gests played at night hide and seek in the maze. It's great, tall hedges and torches.

Uno de los sitios mas agradables de Madrid es la plaza de Oriente, frente al Palacio Real de Madrid.
Solía ir de pequeña todos los domingos con mis padres y mi hermana y yo jugábamos en los columpios mientras ellos se tomaban el aperitivo. Ya de más mayor iba a veces con mi padre y mi abuela a tomar chocolate con churros los domingos por la tarde. Es un sitio que me trae muchos recuerdos y me parece precioso. Siempre esta lleno de gente sentada, haciendo skate, tomando helados, paseando, niños jugando el los columpios o dentro de los laberintos de los jardines. Tiene mucha vida.
El Palacio Real además es un edificio que me encanta. Es un palacio que sigue el modelo de la corte francesa pero adaptado a la ciudad de Madrid. La dificultad con la que se encontraron fue que los palacios franceses del SXVIII estaban pensados para integrar edificio y jardines, arquitectura y urbanismo, como en Versailles. El problema era que en Madrid existía un desnivel muy grande y el terreno caía bruscamente hacia el Manzanares. Tuvieron que adaptarlo, pero ese defecto en mi opinión le da un toque especial a nuestro palacio.
Ayer estuve con Elena (Que luce nuevo corte de pelo), Sil y Javo en la presentación de la colección de joyas de Ion Fiz en un local del centro de Madrid. Me encantan las presentaciones que hace. Ya fui a otra hace tiempo de complementos y me encantó el evento. Esta vez en vez de macaroons había GinTonics con fresas y estaban de muerte!
La colección era toda inspirada en la naturaleza y aparecían bichos e insectos (Lo primero que pensé: "A Mary Kate le volvería loca!"). Nos lo pasamos genial y a la salida nos dieron un detalle que nos hizo mucha ilusión, para que llevemos el toque Fiz colgado del cuello ;). ¡Muchas gracias!
Eso si, la pieza de la colección que me enamoró fue este collar. Impresionante.
The collection was all inspired by nature and bugs and insects appeared all the time (My first thought was: "Mary Kate would go crazy! "). We had areally nice time and we got out with a detailto have the Fiz touch around the neck;). Thank you!However the piece that I fell in love with was this necklace. Awesome.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at IFEMA, where fashion was feeling in the air. It was cool because there weren't as many people as other times and my cousin, Elena, and I enjoyed the Sita Murt show and the stands outside.
I met many bloggers as Sil y Javo, and I also met Erea!
In addition, I attended an interview with Clara Courel and I get a picture with her!
Despedimos el 2011 en familia, como hacia mucho que no lo hacíamos. Estuve con mi primos, mis tíos,mis abuelos y mi nuevo sobrinito, que celebraba su primera nochevieja.
Cava, adornos dorados, vestiditos, tacones altos, fuegos artificiales, las campanadas de La1, una búsqueda desesperada de algo rojo a dos minutos de las 12! Todos celebrando la despedida del 2010.
We said the 2010 goodbye all together, as we did many years ago. I was with my cousins, my uncles, my grandparents and my new nephew, who lived his first new year's eve.

Me engañaron y se colaron en mi casa si que yo les viera con la ayuda de mi hermana y mi prima. Cuando fui al salón me pegue un susto tremendo! mi salón estaba invadido por catorce personas que se habían colado en mi casa sin yo darme cuenta. De eso van las fiestas sorpresa no? :)
Me hizo mucha ilusión! nunca había tenido una fiesta así. Trajeron pizzas y cenamos y luego salimos de fiesta todos a bailar y celebrar el fin de examenes.

El otro día mi prima y yo fuimos a casa de mi tía a que nos enseñase a hacer su tarta de queso, que esta buenisima! yo soy fan de esta tarta y he probado miles y esta hay que decir que esta estupenda, esponjosa y muy rica.
Voy a compaginar la entrada anterior con esta ya que tengo las fotos de esta tarde. La escribimos en el Blogguers space de la CFW:"Estamos Elena y yo en el espacio bloggers de Cibeles Fashion week! acabamos de salir del desfile de Javier Larrainzar y el desfile no ha estad mal. En especial ha habido un vestido precioso, ya pondré fotos. Acabo de encontrarme con los administradores de La Otra Horma del Zapato y son muy majos, ellos sabe mas de esto que yo porque si que harán reportaje de desfiles, yo la verdad que me gusta o no pero tengo poca idea...

Prometí que la haría y así fue. Una fiesta country en mi casa para despedir las vacaciones. Después de muchos preparativos y varias horneadas de muffins este fue el resultado.
Muffins, quesadillas, perritos clientes, música country, películas del oeste de fondo etc.
Ahora todo acabo y ya he vuelto a empezar la universidad...primer día....puff

Now college has started so godbye vacation.
