The DIY is so in and I have several friends that love knitting. When I heard about The Knitting Point I thought, why not?. The truth is that it hooks you. At first I was a mess and I had a lot of trouble with wool, needles ... Ines and I went to the Ondarreta restaurant in The Moraleja where Isabel (from The Knitting Point) taught us the basics and I could gradually do that :) . It is very relaxing and I want to make a neck for this winter. It was a very pleasant afternoon, plus it was raining outside and it was cold so a snack there learning how to knit was super winter. The kit comes with wool, needles, another needle to finish it and instructions. Also for those who, like me, have little skills there are video tutorials on the web theknittingpoint. I encourage you to try it!

Trasera. lleva tus datos personales.

A business card is always a good way to introduce your company and after try and fail many times last few years I've come up with some keys that I hope will be of you help.
STYLE: I opted for something simple, to be consistent with the blog design. It is better that the card itself talks about what we are presenting. Be careful and don't make a very sober card if your imagecompany image is so colorful and vice versa.
SIZE. Personally I like a conventional size. I do not like the small, long or square cards. The rectangular 5x8 cm is the most comfortable and handle size to keep.
PAPER. Make it thicker. I went to the architecture paper store, where we bought all the material, and I ordered a thick paper, something rough and white. I also like the cards printed on thin brown paper (example below), it gives an elegant but casual feeling.
FONTS. Be very aware of the fonts you use. I like those that are very straight and thin, or the ones that seem to be handwritten. Mixing fonts is also an option, and it is better mixing thin and straight capitals with an ornamental lower case letter.
COLOURS. If you have a corporate color that should stand out clearly in the front and the rest in neutral tones.
CONTENT. The content, as the card has two sides:
Front. It's your brand, your identity sign. In my case I show the header of my blog. It presents the card and defines your style.
Back. takes your personal data. You can indicate what you consider: web, name, phone, social networking, email ...
Always carry your business cards with you in a small box, this is very useful and convenient when you are making your company know.

I always liked Holly Golightly sleeping mask in the opening scenes of Breakfast at Tiffany's and so I made one some time ago but I lost it. I found the materials that left over the first time and I've made another one now that I have some free time:)
It's pretty easy, you just have to be in a little sewing mood :). I'm not a great seamstress, I have my faults, but it is cute anyway :)
If you want to know how to do it keep reding
You need a paper pattern the size you like for the mask (a bit bigger because then decreases slightly). Fabric satin piece in blue, something soft to fill it, a golden ribbon to the edge, a golden rope to tie it up and fake eyelashes (although they are very delicate)

Cut the pieces of blue fabric leaving margin and the filler the exact size. Sew the blue pieces inside out leaving a hole. Turn them over and put the fill in. Finish sewing and do the same with eyes. Sew the tabs, the edge with golden ribbon and the rope at the height you want.

Do you want a DIY idea? I propose a paper globe. Miki gave it to me this christmas and I add pins marking the places I have visited. What I liked the most about the gift was that it is handmade, he did it :). It's beautiful and you can leave it anywhere because it's geometric so it doesn't roll off the floor. I added a new pin, tomorrow we're going to Porto together!

I love the bouquets in the rooms. This year being on Erasmus's I can’t afford
some whims, and buying a bouquet of white roses is one of them. So yesterday, in
a sleepless night I looked all I had at home and I started to do my own paper
flowers. It is easy and beautiful. Also this morning I came down to the street
and I found a long branch so I decided to mix them with flowers and here is the
result.
