No pude retrasarlo más y el domingo fui al Museo Thyssen a ver la tan comentada exposición de Hubert de Givenchy. La semana pasada en el evento en el museo pude ver la entrada a la exposición que estaba montada y lista para recibir la colección. Me dejó boquiabierto y ya auguraba una increíble muestra de los vestidos que tan bien lució Audrey Hepburn entre otras.
Efectivamente, yo pensé que al ver el famoso vestido que inicia Desayuno con diamantes y que protagoniza la escena más conocida de la película, se me quedarían los pelos de punta. Pero no fue asi! se me pusieron de punta nada más entrar y esa sensación que esperé encontrarme en la sala dedicada a Audrey Hepburn, una de mis musa, ya la sentí desde el momento en el que vi aquellos trajes de cortes perfectos, con los botones que tomaban el protagonismo de las prendas los bordados, los guantes, las telas de seda...
Si podéis ir os la recomiendo porque por mucho que os cuente qué sentí hay que ir allí y experimentar lo que es pasar el medio arco, la pared con las G de flores y la curva con su nombre hasta llegar a la primera sala casi en penumbra.
I could not delay it further and I went to Thyssen Museum on Sunday to see the most expected exhibition about Hubert de Givenchy. Last week when I went to the museum to an event I could see the entrance, that was ready for the opening. It left me speechless and It seemed to be an incredible collection of dresses that my muse Audrey Hepburn, among others, could wear.
Indeed, I thought that seeing the famous dress that opens Breakfast at Tiffany, the most famous scene of the movie, will give me goosebumps. But it was not so! that feeling I expected to find when I reach the room dedicated to Audrey Hepburn, comes from the moment I saw those perfect cut suits, with huge buttons, gloves, silk fabrics ...
If you can go I recommend it because although I am telling you what I felt is not the same to go there and experience what it is to go through that half arch, the wall with G flowers and the curve with his name, up to the first room in near darkness.
