Brugal celebró su 125 aniversario en la sala Kapital de Madrid. Una noche de fiesta llena de gente, música, luces, comida y bebida además de estar llena de caras conocidas. Hacía mucho tiempo que no iba al Teatro Kapital y me gustó mucho, le tengo cariño a esa sala. Estaba decorado especialmente para esta ocasión y predominaban los colores de la marca, rojo, azul y blanco. Una noche estupenda dedicada exclusivamente a Ron Brugal.

Brugal celebrated its 125th anniversary in the Kapital Theatre in Madrid. A party night full of people, music, lights, food and drink and also a lot of familiar faces. The last time I went to the Teatro Kapital was a long time ago and really liked to be there again. It was decorated specially for the occasion and dominated the brand colors, red, blue and white. Such a great night dedicated to Ron Brugal.

Este fin de semana fui a probar con Miki un nuevo restaurante que descubrí por casualidad. Pasé un día por delante y me llamó la atención. Se llama Kilómetros de Pizza (Av. de Brasil 6) y tiene una decoración de la que a mí me gusta. La mezcla perfecta de madera y blanco y con el toque de las plantas colgando. Muy muy bonito. La peculiaridad que tiene es que pides las pizzas por metros, según las personas que seáis. Tienen un contador enorme sobre la cocina con los metros que llevan vendidos. La ensalada de cabra que pedimos y la pizza estaban estupendas pero en mi opinión los precios son algo elevados y no hay mucha variedad. Por lo demás fue una cena muy agradable.

This weekend I went to try a new restaurant with Miki that I found by chance. One day I passed by and it caught my attention.It is called Kiómetros de Pizza (Av. de Brasil 6) and it is decorated just the way I like. The perfect mix of wood and white with the touch of hanging plants. Very, very nice. The peculiarity is that you order the pizza by meters, according to the people you're with. They have counter over the kitchen  meters the've already sold. The goat salad we ordered and the jam pizza were really great but, in my opinion, the prices are a bit high and there were not a lot of choices. Otherwise it was a very nice meal.

Ayer en Madrid, como todos los septiembres, tuvo lugar la Vogue Fashions Night Out (VFNO) y también como cada año había mucha más gente que el anterior. Pero eso es otra historia que os contaré mañana :) de momento este es el look que escogí para esta noche especial dedicada a la moda.

Yesterday in Madrid, as every September, took place the Vogue Fashions Night Out (VFNO) and as each year there were more people than the year before. But that's another story that I'll tell you tomorrow :) for now this was the look I chose for this special night dedicated to fashion.

TEATRO ALLA SCALA. Gracias a que conseguimos unas entradas para una sesión para jóvenes a muy buen precio pudimos ir una noche a la opera al Teatro alla Scala. Tenía unas ganas tremendas de conocer la Scala por dentro. Me pareció preciosa. Nunca había ido a una ópera, era la primera vez. Vimos el Lohengrin de Wagner. El principio fue muy duro, opera en alemán, subtítulos en italiano...luego descubrí que se podían poner en inglés (que parda) y el segundo acto fue mejor. Lo que más me gustó fue el ambiente, lleno de jóvenes todos arregladísimos en esa sala. La lámpara me dejó boquiabierta.  Era preciosa y también me llamó la atención la cantidad de palcos que había  Fue una noche muy especial, no se va a la ópera todos los días :)

TEATRO ALLA SCALA. Thanks we got some special tickets for a session under 30 at a really great price we could go to the opera one night at Teatro alla Scala. I had an overwhelming desire to know the inside of the Scala. This is huge. I had never been at the opera before, it was the first time. It was Lohengrin by Wagner. The beginning was very hard, seen an opera in German with Italian subtitles ... then I found out that you could read it in English and the second act was already better. What I liked was the atmosphere on that building, crowded of elegant young people. The lamp left me speechless It was amazing and also the amount of palcos It had. That  was a very special night, you don't go to the opera every day :)

Primera fiesta en casa desde que estoy en Milán y no salió nada mal. Me encantan este tipo de planes y más si hay cócteles de por medio. Antes de nada me metí en youtube para ver como se hacia exactamente un cóctel y no poner cara de pocker al ver los mil aparatos que trae la coctelera... Aprendí a hacer cosmopolitans y la verdad es que me salieron riquísimos (muy Carrie Bradshaw todo). Estuvimos haciendo mezclas y probando todo lo que venía en el pack de Ladbrokes. Mi mesa parecía la barra de un bar. Las pajitas de frutas daban un toque especial a las copas y las cartas de 007 triunfaron. Hacía mucho que no organizaba un plan así: cócteles, música y de after party la película de Casino Royale.

First party at home since I'm here in Milan and nothing came out wrong. I love this type of plans and if there are cocktails involved much better. First of all I went on youtube to see how to do exactly a cocktail and not to put a pocker face when I found mysel in front of the thousand devices that the shaker brings ... I learned how to make cosmopolitans and the truth is that it was delicious (so Carrie Bradshawl). We made some mixtures and tryed everything that came in the Ladbrokes' pack. My table looked like a bar. The fruit straws were so lovely and gave a special touch to the drinks and the 007 deck of cards was a hit. There is so long since I last organized something like that, cocktails, music and for the after party the Casino Royale movie.
