SEE YOU IN A WEEK

Todos los años suelo ir una semana a Andorra a esquiar con mis amigos, salvo el año pasado que fue el viaje de ecuador a Cancun. Este año toca...otra vez a esquiar! me apetece tanto. Son muchas horas en autobús hasta llegar a la estación de esquí pero merece la pena. Estaré una semana incomunicada y sin poder actualizar, pero prometo muchas fotos a la vuelta ;)

Every year I usually go a week to Andorra to ski with my friends, except last year that we went to Cancun. ... Now i'm ging again to ski! I cant wait to be there on the snow. There are many hours by bus to reach the ski station but it's worth. I'll be a week unable to update, but I promise lots of pictures to show when I get back ;) have a nice week

ZARA dress, vest and booties - CHICWISH new bag.

No es una novedad, me encanta el color naranja para los complementos de invierno. He recibido en casa este bolso de CHICWISH, una tienda online de ropa. En cuanto lo vi me imaginé con el puesto y con mi carpeta naranja yendo a clase :).

Es una tienda que tienen unas cosas preciosas, y además me gusta porque son diferentes. No es lo típico que encuentras en todos lados. Tengo mas prendas de ellos que iré enseñando estos días y os recomiendo que le echéis un vistazo a la web chicwish.com.

Además con el color verde botella creo que iba genial. Ese dia mi hermano nos llevó a comer a un restaurante genial y para la comida elegí este look.

No hay mejor sensación que recibir un paquete en casa y que dentro haya un bolso así ;)

It is nothing new that I love orange for winter complements. I received this bag at home from CHICWISH, an online store with a lot of lovely things. As I saw it I figured myself going college with it and my orange folder :).

It is a shop with some nice pieces, and I like it because you can find something different. It is not the typical clothes you find everywhere. I have other clothes that I'll show you and I recommend you to take a look to the webpage: chicwish.com.

In addition dark green goes great with it. That day my brother took us to dinner to a restaurant and choose this outfit.

LTC. RIDING THE PARK

De un plan espontaneo ha salido una entrada "Living The City". Es lo bueno de las vacaciones, te levantas una mañana te pones a llamar a gente y decidís hacer un plan. Nos fuimos a montar en bici al Parque Juan Carlos I, que yo no lo conocía. No sabia que se podían coger bicis allí de forma gratuita. Simplemente dejas el DNI y ya puedes pasear con ellas por todo el parque. Hacia una mañana de invierno increíble, todos dejamos el abrigo en el coche porque no hacia nada de frío.

El parque tiene montones de monumentos, es mas grande que el Retiro y la verdad es que para pasar el día esta genial. Me gustaría ir a hacer picnic en primavera :)

Así que fuimos Paula, Pablo, Jorge y yo en plan verano azul por el parque. Y no conseguimos acordarnos de la canción de la serie...toda la mañana pensando y a ninguno nos salia.

A spontaneous plan has become in a "Living The City" post. It's the good thing about vacation, you wake up one morning, call people and decide to make a plan. We went to know the Juan Carlos I park and get some bikes. I had no idea about the posibility of getting free bikes there. Just leaving your ID and you can go with them throughout the park. It was an incredible winter morning, everyone left the coat in the car because it was no cold.

The park has lots of monuments, is larger than the Retiro and the truth is that it could be great to spend the day there. I would go to a picnic at spring:)

Mi hermana dice que son ortopédicos y no entiende que los lleve. Yo digo que son magníficos :). Aunque reconozco que hay que quererlos, no entenderlos unos Jeffery Campbell son increibles por naturaleza...aunque no tengan mucho sentido.

NOW THAT MY NOSE IS FROZEN

Estaba siendo un invierno de broma en Madrid...con cazadora en el mes de Enero, ¿Cuando había pasado eso?. Ya por fin empieza a hacer frío de verdad. En cuanto eres incapaz de contestar los mensajes del móvil porque los dedos no te responden y los guantes no te dejan pulsar la diminutas teclas de la Blackberry, cuando tienes la nariz tan fría que pierdes el sentido del olfato, lo único que piensas es en entrar en algún sitio donde se este caliente.

Esta es una típica tarde de tertulia. Esta vez convencí a Lau, Pablo y Jorge para ir a uno de mis sitios favoritos, el bar lounge de Serrano 5, en el edificio de Adolfo Dominguez :).

Gracias a que este invierno no ha hecho mucho frío puedo decir que me he paseado la Castellana arriba y abajo mas que en toda mi vida. Me encanta. Eso si, el frío llega a tiempo, justo una semana antes de que vaya a esquiar...esperemos que nieve.

Winter was being a joke in Madrid this year ... just wering a jacket in January, when had that happen?. It finally starts to get really cold. The kind of one that you are unable to answer phone messages because the fingers do not respond and gloves will not let you press the tiny buttons on the Blackberry, when your nose is so cold that you lose the sense of smell and all you think is to enter somewhere warm.

This is the typical evening chatting. This time I convinced Lau, Paul and George to go to one of my favorite places, the lounge bar in Serrano 5, on the top of the Adolfo Dominguez building:).

Thanks this winter hasn't been very cold I can say I have walked up and down the Castellana more than in my whole life. I love it. Now the cold comes on time, just a week before I go to ski... hopefully It will snow.

LTC. WINTER IN MADRID

Hacia mucho tiempo que no hacia una entrada "Living the City" y es que por fin he sacado tiempo para ir a ver el Palacio de Cristal de Retiro. Iba cuando era pequeña y tenia un recuerdo de el precioso pero hacia años que no iba. Convencí a Lau y a Jorge para ir a dar una vuelta y verlo. Había expuesta una construcción dentro del propio palacio que hacia como de una segunda piel en el interior. Parecía como un palacio de cristal azul celeste con perforaciones por donde entraba la luz dentro del verdadero palacio, como una constelación. Me recordó a las muñecas rusas que van una dentro de otra.

There's a long time since I didn't makea "Living the City" post and I've finally found the time to go see the Crystal Palace at the Retiro Gardens. I went there when I was a child and I had a wonderful memory about it. I persuaded Lau and Jorge to go for a walk and see it. There was a Construction exposed inside the palace like a second skin on the inside. It seemed like a blue crystal palace with perforations, through which the light entered, into the realpalace, as a constellation. It reminded me of Russian dolls that go one into each other.

Estoy en modo pelis :). En casa con las zapatillasde conejos tirada volviendo a ver las pelis que estas navidades me han gustado.Me he dado cuenta de que me gustan pelis ñoñas y si sale Amanda Sheffield o Justin Timberlake mejor. Hasta que por fin sacaron una película juntos y ya meencantó. La peli de In Time, es una tontería pero para ver una tarde de estartirada me encanta.

So I'm in a movies mood:). At home with my rabbit shoes seen again the movies that I liked this Christmas. I've noticed that I like silly movies and if Amanda Sheffield orJustin Timberlake are on them better. Finally they made a movie together and I loved it. In Time,is nonsense but to see that on an afternoon at the sofa is great.

Si ayer habla de mi maquillaje de diario hoy pongo el look con el que suelo ir a menudo. Así es como más cómoda me siento vestida. Me encanta este estilo. Esto ayer que salí de compras con mi mejor amigo. Mi zona favorita: gran via-fuencarral. Los botines de zara, que al tener poco tacón son muy cómodos para andar, últimamente no me los quito. Pantalón negro de cuero (Zara), camiseta de forever 21 el collar de hojas de Parfois para darle el toque y el abrigo de H&M de pelo que me encanta porque no paso nada de frío y al tener pelo también en el cuello no hace falta bufanda. El bolso que uso a diario, cabe todo :) (parfois)

If I told you yesterday about my daily makeup today I show the look I like to wear daily. That's how I feel most comfortable. I love this style. This is yesterday when I went shopping with my best friend. My favorite area to shop: Fuencarral - Gran Via. Zara booties, with a little heel that are so comfy to walk, I wear them everywhere lately. Black leather pants (Zara), forever21 shirt, Parfois leaves necklace to give the touch and the H&M coat which I love because is so cozy and you don't need any scarf with it.The bag (Parfois) I use daily and that's is all:)

Hace tiempo me pidieron un post sobre maquillaje, sobre cómo me pinto para diario. Por fin he tenido algo de tiempo. Pongo la foto de los pintalabios la primera porque como ya sabéis me vuelven loca. Es una pasión que me transmitió mi amiga Pau. Interiorizamos muy bien la frase de Holly Golightly en Desayuno con diamantes "No se puede hablar de cosas importantes sin los labios pintados"

Mis colores preferidos son el nude para diario, el coral pero en tono encendido para los días de sol en los que me apetecen labios llamativos y el rojo para las noches.

Some time ago I've been asked for a daily make up a post. Finally I had some time to make it. I show the lipstick picture first because as you know they drive me crazy. It's a passion my friend Pau transmitted to me. We have the Holly Golightly's words in Breakfast at Tiffany's very well internalize: "You can not talk about important things without lipstick on"
My favorite colors are nude for everyday and an acid coral on the sunny days: I reserve red lips for the night.

Tengo entre mis cosas de maquillaje, como imaginareis, las que uso todos los días y las que reservo para ocasiones especiales. Mi colonia favorita es esta: Escale à Portofino, de Dior. Todavía no he encontrado otra candidata para sustituirla.

I have some makeup, as you can imagine,that I use every day and I reserve some others for special occasions. My favorite perfume is this: Escale à Portofino, Dior. I have not found another candidate for replacement yet.

Luego tengo un neceser sobre la encimera del baño con todo lo que uso a diario todas las mañanas. Mi hermana y yo hacemos un despliegue de botecitos y nos damos algún que otro codazo si la otra se pasa acaparando el espejo.

Then I have a makeup poket over the counter in the bathroom with everything I use daily in the morning. My sister and I make a display of small bottles and we give odd nudge eacother if one is hogging the mirror.

Siempre lo dicen y es verdad. Lo más importante del maquillaje es desmaquillarse.

1. Siempre me lavo la cara con un jabón neutro y me aplico este tónico de Clinique con un algodón cuando está limpia. Un poco de crema hidratante (De noche antes de dormir y al levantarme antes de empezar a pintarme). Después de la crema suelo peinarme para que se absorba y luego empiezo a pintarme.

2. Primero tapo las ojeras y alguna imperfección con es stick en rollon de Bourjois

3. Base de maquillaje de L'Oreal, liquida y la más clara. No me gusta las bases que son más oscuras que mi tono de piel, soy bastante blanca y uso la más clara que fabrican. Ya le daré algo de color a alguna zona con los polvos.

5. Aplico polvos un punto más oscuro que mi tono, pero casi inapreciable, en la frente, pómulos (hacia arriba)y sobre la nariz, alguna vez en la barbilla, depende del dia :)

It is always said and it's true. The most important thing is to take out the makeup.

1. I always wash my face with a special soap and I apply this Clinique tonic with a cotton when the face is clean. A bit of moisturizer (at night before going bed and when I get up before I start the make up).
2. First cover my dark circles under the eyes and imperfections with a stick in rollon is Bourjois
3. Foundation, L'Oreal, liquid and clearer. I do not like the bases that are darker than my skin tone, I'm pretty white and use the lightest they make. I will give some color to specific areas with powders later.
5. Powders applied are a point darker than my tone, but almost negligible: forehead, cheeks (up) and on the nose, chin sometimes, depends on the day:)

Tanto la base como los polvos los aplico con la brocha en círculos para que se extienda bien y quede uniforme.

I applied both the base and the powder with a brush in circles so that it extends well and smooth.

Lo que mas me gusta pintarme son los ojos. En tonos marrones de dia y en negros de noche. Soy muy convencional pero es lo que mejor me queda y lo que mejor se hacer :)
Primero me hago en el interior del ojo la raya abajo y arriba y en el párpado otra linea más gruesa sobre las pestañas. A veces la prolongo con un ligero rabillo.
Sombras muy sutiles en la parte de fuera de los párpados, que la zona del lacrimal quede siempre clara para que el ojo parezca mas grande.
Difumino la linea con un pincel fino y máscara de pestañas que nunca falte.

What I like most is to paint my eyes. Brown for the day and black for the night. I am very conventional but it is what is best for me and what I also do best:)
First I get inside the eye, up and down, the line and another line thicker on the eyelid, over the lashes. Sometimes I extended it with a slight corner.
Subtle shadows on the outside of the eyelids, letting clear the lacrimal area to get bigger the eyeappear.
Blurs the line with a fine brush and never miss mascara!.

2. Mascara de pestañas de MaxFactor. Efecto postizas/ MaxFactor mascara. Effect extensions.

3. Sombras marrones de Bourjois/ Bourjois shadows brown

4. Sombra dorada para días especiales/ Golden Shadow for special days

5. Lápiz de ojos marrón de MaxFactor con un difuminador en la punta. Y pinceles para sombras./Brown eyeliner with a smudger MaxFactor at the tip. And shadow brushes

A veces me gusta usar rizador de pestañas. Parece que no hace nada pero realmente si que las levanta y da efecto al ojo.

Sometimes I like to use eyelash curler. It seems that it does nothing but it really stands up and gives effect to the eye.

Si tenéis espejo de aumento en casa usadlo porque sobre todo para pintarse los ojos ayuda mucho.

If you have a magnifying mirror at home use it because to make the eyes painted helps a lot.

En las ocasiones especiales como fin de año, algún cumpleaños o simplemente un dia que me apetezca ir mas arreglada saco mi borla de Kiko que te deja muy buen olor, la piel suave y algo de purpurina por el escote, brazos etc. Además a veces pruebo con sombras de colores diferentes. Suele gustarme mucho el azul oscuro y nunca llevo los ojos claros en verde, morado, lila, coral...no me gusta.

On special occasions like New Year's, a birthday or just a day I feel like going out I get my Kiko puff that leaves you a very good smell, soft skin and some glitter on the neck, armsand or so on. I sometimes try different color shades. I usually love the dark blue.I never wear light eyes like green, purple, lilac, coral ... I do not.

COMING DOWN FROM THE CLOUDS

Estos son los típicos días de Enero en los que no hay que ir a clase pero hay que hacer trabajos y entregarlos a contrarreloj...esa sensación de que estas de vacaciones peor tienes obligaciones por todos lados...un poco angustioso peor bueno. Dentro de nada termino y estamos planeado un viaje a esquiar!
Estos días se resumen en cafés, ordenador y que no falte... tónica con limón ;) me encanta el sabor amargo de la tónica, me sube el ánimo.

These are that kind of January days when you don't need go to class but you have to do some works and bring them on one date... the feeling that you're on vacation but you've got obligations everywhere ... a little distressing but It's ok.

BTW we are planning a ski trip!
These days can be summarized in cafee, computer and I do not miss ... tonic with lemon:) I love the bitter taste of the tonic, It turns my mood up.

RED FELT

Esto no era un joyero, era una caja donde venia un sacacorchos y complementos para vino que le habían regalado a mis padres. Me lo he apropiado y me he hecho un joyero con la caja y un forro de fieltro rojo para darle un toque Louboutin :). Asi guardo las cosas nuevas que me han regalado. Fue tan fácil hacerlo, y parece realmente un joyero.

This was not a jeweler, was a corkscrew and accessories box that had been given to my parents. I've taken it and I made a jewelry box with it and a red felt fo the inside to give it a Louboutin touch :). So I'll keep here the new items from christmas. It was so easy to make, and actually It looks like a real jeweler.

Ayer por la noche estuve viendo La Proposición, película recomendable totalmente. Es una tontería pero me encanta, sobretodo con planes como el de ayer, que mi amiga Pau se vino a dormir a casa. Cotilleo y peli ;)

AFTER EIGHT

Todos los años después de la cabalgata de reyes mi madre organiza una merienda en casa con amigos suyos con hijos etc. Suben todos emocionados de ver a los Reyes y siempre preparamos un chocolate con dulces.
Yo creo que es la merienda del año en la que mi madre pone mas empeño :) hizo de todo. Bizcocho relleno, pasteles de manzana, helado con sirope de frutas del bosque, y yo hice muffins de pasas y avellanas y de chocolate con nueces :)

Every year the 5th of January my mother organized a snack at home with some friends and their children... They all come up so excited from seeng the three Wise Men and we prepare hot chocolate and sweet for them.
I think it's the moment of the year that my mother makes more effort on a snack :): Cake, apple pies, ice cream with berry syrup, and I also made raisins&nuts and chocolate&nuts muffins :)

Para mi el día de reyes significa el final de las navidades. Podría resumir las de este año con estas fotos:

Mis libros de inspiración, la botellita de Freixenet, accesorios brillantes, colores chillones, recuerdos de NY, birthday queen, dulces, fotografía y los maravillosos Jeffrey Campbell que me ha dejado mi amiga Maria hasta junio :). Se vuelve a Holanda de erasmus y no se los lleva. Bendito 38 talla de pie estándar, se los guardare hasta verano y les daré muy buen uso.

For me christmas are officialy over today. I could summarize this year's with these pictures:

¿Os acordáis de mi wislist de ROMWE? Me ha llegado el jersey lima y el anillo de lacito :)

Me encanta el color es igual que la funda de portátil que tengo de Marc Jacobs. Una de las cosas que mas me gusta es poner colores ácidos al invierno y en cuanto vi este jersey me enamoré de él. Es súper suave y abriga un montón. Lo que mas me ha gustado es la frase de la etiqueta "Beautiful monster" Cada día me gusta mas ROMWE :) tienen este tipo de cosas, básicas pero con un punto.

He ido a la biblioteca a estudiar con él puesto y con el portátil y se me veía a km de distancia. Iba del color del subrayador de la chica de en frente.

Dentro de poco voy a hacer un sorteo para ganar algún articulo de la tienda y un cheque de regalo.

I love the color, It is like the laptop sleeve I have from Marc Jacobs. One of the things I like the most in witer is to add acid colors and when I saw this jumper I fell for it. It's super soft and cozy :) What I liked the most was the the label "Beautiful Monster" Every day I like ROMWE more :) they have this kind of things, basics but with a special touch.

Se ha vuelto una tradición. Aunque no nos veamos casi durante el curso porque Ines estudia y María esta fuera, el fin de año lo pasamos juntas desde que acabamos el instituto.
Fue una noche rara...gente diferente pero que al final salio todo mejor de lo que esperaba.

FIRST NIGHT OF THE YEAR

Al final en el ultimo momento decidí ponerme una cosa totalmente diferente a lo que había pensado. Abrí la caja de ropa de fiesta de mi madre de cuando era joven y encontré la falda que llevó a la fiesta de después de su boda. Es una falda vintage alucinante con muchísimo vuelo que sólo me la podría poner en una fiesta. Dije: ocasión perfecta, esta noche me la pongo! ademas con los zapatos altos de purpurina completaba el look.

Cene en mi casa con mi familia y luego salí con unos amigos. Por fin reuní a mis dos mejores amigas del instituto: Ines y Maria, con mis amigos de ahora.

No pensé que la falda fuese a tener tanto éxito, ademas yo iba segura de una cosa: nadie mas iría vestida igual que yo ;)

At last I decided to wear a totally different outfit to what I thought. I opened my mum's party-clothes-box and I found the skirt she wore to her wedding after party. It's a vintage skirt with an amazing flight, so pompous. The kind of skirt you can only wear on a party. I said, perfect time, I'm wearing it tonight! in addition I had the glitter stilettos to completed the look.
I had a dinner at home with my family and then I went out with friends. Finally I met my two BFFs from school: Ines and Maria, and my college friends.
I did not think that the skirt was as successful, plus I was sure of one thing: no one else would be dressing like me ;)

Si tengo que resumirlo en una frase diria "2011, un buen año". Mi entrada en la veintena ha sido increible, se me acabaron los 20 y espero que los 21 sean mejores aun.

Ha sido un año lleno de viajes, de salidas nocturnas, de momentos familiares y momentos fuera de casa. Aunque una de mis mejores amigas, Maria, se fue de erasmus y pensé que lo llevaria mal, menos mal que existe Skype y puedo aburrirla con mis historias a pesar de estar a km de distancia.

Recuerdo cuatro viajes importantes: el de Cancun con todo mi curso, el de verano en la playa, el fin de semana en Granada con mis amigos y la semana en NY con mi madre y mi hermana.

Cada uno de ellos me ha marcado muchísimo.

Este final de año ha sido especialmente bueno, creo que el mejor. He aprobado todo, me he ido a NY en navidades, la cena de noche buena salió genial, me prepararon un cumpleaños que nunca olvidaré y estoy tan feliz que hasta me asusta.

Se que el año que viene va a ser diferente pero mejor. Empieza a cambiar mi visión de las cosas y se que va a haber cambios en mi vida. No me asusta nada. Ademas voy a echar la instancia para irme a estudiar fuera el curso que viene...poco a poco me voy haciendo más independiente.

Si abrí el blog para ver como iba evolucionando a lo largo de la carrera puedo decir que este es un momento clave y esta noche pienso celebrarlo :)!

Espero que paséis una noche increíble y que el año que viene este lleno de cosas buenas.

If I have to resume the year in one sentence I would say "2011 was a good year." My twenties entry has been incredible, I just hope the 21's will be better.

It's been a year full of travelling, nights out, family moments and also moments away from home.Although one of my best friends, Maria, was out of the country, luckily there is Skype and I can bore her with all my stories despite being miles away.

I remember four important voyages: Cancun with my classmates, summer on the beach, the Granada weekend with my friends and the NY experience with mum and my sister.

Each of them has touch me a lot.

This end of the year has been particularly good, I think the best. I passed all my exams, I have gone to NY at Christmas, Christmas Eve was great, I had a birthday I will never forget and I am so happy that even scares me.

I know next year will be different but also better. My view of things begins to change and there will be changes in my life, I know that. I'm not afraid at all. Also I'll take the instance to go away the next academic year ... and I am gradually becoming more independent.

If I opened the blog to see how my life is changing during this years I can say this is a key moment and I'm celebrating that tonight:)! I hope that you spend an amazing night and the next year is full of good things.

WINE IN WINTER

Estos primeros días de vacaciones son los que aprovechamos para salir a tomar algo antes de comer y cotillear. Es una sensación de libertad el no tener ninguna obligación mas que llamarnos para quedar...me encanta :).
Ademas los días de invierno en los que hace sol, que hay que sacar las gafas y el abrigo son mis preferidos.
Fui con Paula y Lau a tomar algo al bar de la ultima planta del Adolfo Dominguez de serrano.

These early days of winter we go to get a drink and gossip before dinner. A sense of freedom, not having any obligation except calling each other ... I love it:).
Besides winter days where the sun shines and you have to get sunglasses and coat are my favorites.
I went with Paula and Lau to the top floor bar in the Adolfo Dominguez building.

Me regaló Elena el otro día por mi cumpleaños este collar de ZARA. Yo no se si lo habría elegido pero una vez puesto me gusta mucho. Sobre todo para estas fechas. Es el típico collar que hace que una camisa blanca adquiera importancia en un momento, y si lo combinas con unos salones negros ya puedes ir a cualquier cena :)

Elena gave me this ZARA necklace for my birthday the other day. I do not know if I'd have chosen it but I really liked it at first look, especially for this time of the year. It 's the kind of collar that makes a white shirt to turn smart, and if you combine it with a pair of black pumps you can go to any dinner:)

CHRISTMAS TIME

Sorprendentemente el día de Navidad no hizo nada de frío. Amaneció son un sol radiante y no me hizo falta abrigo, así que aproveché para usar una de mis chaquetas para ir a la comida. Pantalón en color guinda (ZARA), botines (FOREVER 21) y chaqueta en crudo (ZARA), el bolso de Piamonte, una camisa blanca y un pañuelo (ZARA). El collar plateado de hojas de Adolfo dominguez y una trenza de espiga :). Esa fue mi elección.

Surprisingly Christmas Day was not cold. The sun was brighting and I did not need a coat to go to the christmas meal, so I took the opportunity to use one of my jackets. Leather look trousers (ZARA), booties (FOREVER 21) and nude jacket (Zara), bthe Piamonte bag, a white shirt and a scarf (Zara). The leaf silver necklace Adolfo dominguez and a braid:). That was my choice.

Me encanta esta noche porque es la primera de todas las fiestas y es muy especial. Además me encanta porque siempre piensos que todo el planeta esta haciendo lo mismo que yo ese día...es raro :)
También es el único día del año en el que guardas sitio en el estómago para la cena porque sabes que va a ser como una boda.
Nos reunimos toda la familia de mi madre en casa de mi tía y el menu fue como todos los años, siempre lo digo "Sopa, animal y postre!". Estuve con Elena que acababa de llegar de NY y me contó todo su viaje.
Para la cena elegí algo sencillo pero de noche. Una falda tubo negra, camiseta plateada y salones negros.
Después de la cena me fui un rato con mis amigos para lucir modelito y felicitarnos las fiestas en persona :)

I love this night because it is the first of all the holidays and is very special. I also love it because I always think that the whole planet is doing the same that day...It's weird...:)
It is also the only day of the year when you keep space on your stomach for dinner because you know it will be like a wedding menu,
We met my mum's family at my aunt's place and the menu was like every year, as I always say "soup, animal and dessert". I was with Elena there who had just arrived from NY and she told me about the trip.
For the ocasion I chose something simple but bright. A black pencil skirt, silvershirt and black pumps.
After dinner I went out with some friends to wish merry christmas to eachother and to show the outfit around :)

¿Os acordáis cuando este verano os enseñé algunos hoteles deMadrid? (Ver aqui) Pues el otro día se celebró el 5º aniversario del Hotel Husa Paseo delArte y me invitaron a celebrarlo con ellos. Habían montado una fiesta por todolo alto!

Me encantó ver el Hotel todo decorado. La vez que fui erauna mañana de verano y cambia mucho verlo ahora, de noche, decorado de navidady lleno de luces.

Do you remember this summer when I showed you a few hotels in Madrid? (see here) Well the other day was the 5 th anniversary of the Hotel Husa Paseo del Arte and they invited me to celebrate it with them. They had made a huge party!
I loved seeing the Hotel all decorated . When I was there for the first time it was a summer morning and It was so different now, at night, filled with Christmas decorations and lights.

Habían habilitado el comedor para la fiesta. Ese comedor conel techo acristalado que comenté donde se veía el árbol del jardín. Habíacomida, bebida, música...estuvimos bebiendo mojitos y comiendo chuches, lamejor forma de olvidarse de estas semanas de exámenes. Lo pasamos genial y otravez pude sentarme en el sofá blanco del ginbar de la entrada que tanto megusta. Una preciosa forma de empezar las vacaciones de Navidad.

They enabled the dining room for the party. That room with the glass ceiling that I told you about where you could see the garden tree. There was food, drink, music ... drinking mojitos and eating sweets, the best way to forget these weeks of exams. We spent a really great time and I could be again sitting on that white sofa I love in the Ginbar. It was a lovely way to start Christmas holidays.

Muchas felicidades al Hotel Paseo del Arte y gracias portodo a Angel, porque se portó super bien conmigo y con mi amiga Paula.

Todos los años por estas fechas es lo mismo. Esa sensación de estar absorbida y perdida en el tiempo. Ya no sabes que día es, si es día o si es noche, si has comido o no ni cuantas horas llevas despierta. Ves que en tu casa llevan el ritmo de siempre y mas o menos te orientas, pero cuesta bastante situarse.

Llevo varios días sin publicar porque iba a contrarreloj. Ayer por fin terminamos. Han sido dias de risas y llantos, el sueño influye. Un estrés permanente, pero he tenido tantos buenos momentos que esta vez no me ha importado nada quedarme días y días trabajando.

Every year around this time is the same. That feeling of being absorbed and lost in time.You do not know what day is, if it is day or night, if you've eaten or not or how many hourshave you been awake. You see it in your hose that people follow the usual rhythm and more or less you can situate yourself, but it costs quite to locate.
There have been days of laughs and tears, the lack of sleep influence. A constant stress, but I had so many good moments and this time I didn't mind to work.

Hubo un día rojo, de los que dice Holly Golightly "uno de esos días en los que tienes la sensación de que algo malo va a pasar y estas angustiada pero no sabes por que". Parece una tontería pero me pasa de vez en cuando y siempre ha pasado algo al poco tiempo. Esta vez también hubo momentos malos pero al final te quedas con los buenos.

There was a red day, as Holly Golightly says "one of those days when you feel that something bad will happen and you are distressed but you don't know why." It seems silly but it happens from time to time and something goes wrong. This time there were also bad things but in the end you left just with the best.

Tengo la sensación de haberme llevado sorpresa tras sorpresa, haberme reído y sobre todo, lo mejor, sonreído. Han sido unos días muy especiales, no solo por que ha sido mi cumpleaños sino también porque no hay cosa que me haga sentir mejor que me saquen una sonrisa con un detalle o un gesto. Ahí es donde ves si realmente eres importante para alguien.

I have the feeling of having been surprise after surprise, I laughed and better than that, I smiled. There were very special days, not only because it was my birthday but also because there is nothing that makes me feel better then been taken out a smile with a detail or a gesture.That's where you see if you're really important to someone.

Ya os conté la sorpresa que me prepararon Lara y Paula el día 20 pero no fue solo eso. Ayer al terminar todo me invitaron a la celebración del aniversario de uno de los hoteles que visite este verano. Fui con Paula (de la que no me he despegado estos dias) y en medio de la fiesta me llamo una amiga por teléfono para darme una mala noticia y me pidió que fuese a verla inmediatamente porque estaba fatal. Me agobie mucho por ella, salí corriendo de la fiesta, entre en el McDonnals de la esquina y le pedí al dependiente el McFlurry mas grande y con todos los ingredientes que le pudiesen echar! cogí un taxi y llegue a su casa.

I already told you what Paula Lara broght to me the 20th but it wasn't just that.Yesterday at the end of all I was invited to the anniversary of one of the hotels I visted this summer. I went with Paula and in the middle of the party I recived a phonecall from a friend, bad news, and she asked me to go see her immediately because was so sad. I overwhelm much for her, I ran out of the party, go into McDonnals and asked fot the largest McFlurry with all ingredients It could gbring! I took a taxi and get to my friend's.

Me abrió la puerta Lara y me dijo que Elena estaba fatal que entrase a verla al cuarto. Encendí la luz del salón para ir a su habitación y estaban todos mi amigos! Era una fiesta sorpresa! me habían preparado una cena, llevaban cocinando toda la tarde y había hasta tarta! los vasos y el mantel rosas y todo decorado! me hizo una ilusión! no me lo esperaba para nada. Al principio les vi y pensé, era esto! y yo preocupadísima por Elena jajajja pero luego me encanto. Ha sido una de las cosas que mas ilusión me ha hecho nunca.

Lara opened the door and told me that Elena was so bad and I went to see her to the room. I turned on the mainroom light and there were all my friends! It was a party! They had prepared a dinner for my bday!. It took all afternoon cooking and there was even cake!I was not expecting that at all. At first I thought "it was this!" I was so worry about Elena jajajja but then I laught. It was one of the things that I've been most excited about.

3..2..1...00:00 B-DAY TIME!

Llevo como tres días con entregas y exámenes, y lo que me queda...pero no he podido tener mejor regalo que a las 00:00 estar con Paula y Lara en casa trabajando (en pijama las tres) y que trajesen un muffin y una macedonia con velas, gorritos de cumple y una caja enorme rosa con un lazo llena de cosas.
Al abrir la caja había caramelos, frases recortadas que tenían que ver conmigo ( la mujer de las mil caras, ¿Trabajar sola? eso nunca!, amigas sin freno, nada mas perfecto...). Encima del muffin una frase que ponía blogger y velas rosas con purpurina! jajaja me hizo muchísima gracia. Eran todo cursiladas de las mías.

I have been three-day doing schoolwork and exams, and I'm not finish... but I could not have a better b-day gift than beeing at 00:00 with Paula and Lara (on our pijama) working and suddenly they brouhgt me a muffin and a fruit salad with candles, b-day hats and a pink box with a huge ribbonfull of things.
There was candy, cutten phrases about my stuff (the woman of a thousand faces, do I work alone? Never!, Friends without restraint, nothing more perfect...). On the top of the muffin a "blogger" logo glitter candles! that was so cute!. That was so my corny taste.

También había una corona con plumas rosas, una diadema plateada que pone "Happy Birthday" (que no me la he quitado en toda la noche), pegatinas, una bolsa de te, chocolatinas con mi nombre...de todo! no se de que tienda sera eso pero lleva mi nombre :)

Unos 21 perfectos :) lleno de mensajes preciosos...

Lau no estaba conmigo y me ha hecho un collage de fotos suyas con un gorrito de cumpleaños.

There also was a crown with pink feathers, a silver tiara that says "Happy Birthday" (which I wore all the night), stickers, a bag of tea, chocolates with my name ... everything! I don't know the store where all that stuff is from but it has my name on it :)

RED CARPET MOMENTS WITH CHOPARD

Lo que me llama la atención de Chopard es la Coleccion Red Carpet. Esas joyas que acompañan a los vestidos de alta costura y los tacones de infarto que desfilan todos los años sobre la alfombra roja. Esta colección por lo visto va acompañada de un guardaespaldas, porque cuando le prestan una pieza alguna de las invitadas llevan un acompañante en todo momento para que no se extravíen en ningún momento de la fiesta.

What catches my attention is the Chopard Red Carpet Collection. Those jewels that accompany the couture dresses and huge stilettos parading each year on the red carpet. This collection apparently is accompanied by a bodyguard, because when they borrow a Chopard piece to a guest they have an escort all the time to watch it anytime of the party.

Chopard inauguraba tienda en Serrano y nos invitó a un cóctel. Fui con Lara y pudimos ver la tienda y la colección con música, bebida y comida y además allí estaban Sil y Javo :). Siempre aprovechamos los eventos para ponernos al día.

Chopard opened a shop in Serrano and invited us to a cocktail. Lara and I went to the store and we could see the collection with music, food and drink. There were also Sil and Javo:). We always take advantage of events to catch up.

No me puede gustar mas mi nuevo chaleco negro. Me hizo tanta ilusión cuando me llegó el paquete de ROMWE. Es una marca que me encanta y hasta ahora no tenia nada pero me decidí por el chaleco porque me pareció precioso.

Es una tienda online y no es que yo sea una experta comprando por internet, pero hay determinadas marcas que merecen la pena. Lo que me gusta de esta es que está bastante puesta en lo que se lleva, en el street style y encuentras muchas de las cosas que ves a bloggers internacionales y que no encuentras en tiendas.

I love my new black gilet. I was so excited when the ROMWE package arrived. This is an online shop that I love and I've never tryed but I decided myself to get the gilet because it seemed gorgeous to me.

Im's not an expert buying online, but there are certain brands thet worth while. What I like about this one is that clothes are based on the streetstyle and they have many of the things I see on the international blogs that I do not find in stores.

Hoy toca doble entrada sobre compras que llegan las navidades. Quería hablaros de algo que he descubierto.
No se si os acordáis que este verano hice una entrada sobre Las Rozas Village. Me gusta ir a esta zona de compras dos veces al año, en verano ya hora, en navidades, porque aunque esta a las afueras de Madrid es muy agradable. Es como un pequeño pueblecito. Tiene el encanto de que ser una especie de centro comercial pero al aire libre, donde cada casita es una tienda. Allí siempre encuentro artículos de muchas marcas de otras temporadas, que a mí me da igual y encima esta a mejor precio.

Quería comentarios que tienen un sorteo en su página de facebook Secretos de Navidad y creo que podría interesaros porque se pueden ganar regalos para estas navidades. Solo hay que darle a "me gusta" y puedes ganar regalos, yo cero que merece la pena :)

A mí las tiendas que más me gustan de allí son Bimba&lola, Fun and Basics, donde me compré este verano las bailarinas doradas, levis, que no es fácil encontrarlos a buen precio en Madrid. Para mis padres o mi familia muchas veces he comprado ahí cosas de Bodum. No sé si conocéis esta marca pero es genial, tienen articulas de cocina de diseño, todo tipo de cosas y cuando no se bien que regalarles siempre encuentro algo ahí :)
Siempre que voy le hago una visita a Michel Kors, me encanta este diseñador! en NY lo veía por todas partes.

Tienen hasta Chocolate Factory! Están tan ricos los bombones de esa tienda. Allí compro muchas veces una cajita de chocolates para mis abuelos o cuando mi madre tiene cena en casa los coge para el postre con helado de vainilla y frambuesas.

Que ganas tengo de que sea navidad! Un día de estos tocara visita a Las Rozas Village y haré el tour completo otra vez, acabando con un café en Starbucks. En verano me gusta pasear por ahi porque vas al aire libre entrando y saliendo y sobretodo por las mañanas no hay casi gente. Pero en Invierno tiene mucho mas encanto porque se ve la Sierra de Madrid toda nevada. Es una pasada :)

Estas fueron mis compras en NY. Compre justo todo lo que tenia en mente. Preferí dedicar el tiempo a ver la ciudad hay tres cosas a las que no me pude resistir: American Eagle, Forever 21 y sobretodo Marc Jacobs, mis imprescindibles.

Estas pulseras me encantan y nunca las había visto en ninguna tienda. Además me gustan así, las dos puestas, da la sensación de que llevas puños de camisa o también puede ser que parezcas el genio de Aladdin :) pero me gusta el efecto.

I love these bracelets and I had never seen them in any store. I like to have the two of them cause I have the feeling that I'm wearing cuffs or maybe you might look like the genie from Aladdin :) but I like the effect.

También quería un jersey de punto en beige y en cuanto vi este no lo solté. Los detalles de los diamantitos me hacen mucha gracia.

I also wanted a beige knitwear and when I saw this I did not let it go. The the sparkly details make me like it even more.

Justo ese día llevaba unos pantalones negros efecto cuero y me probé estos botines. No os imagináis como quedaban. A simple vista no eran nada del otro mundo pero puestos...

La ultima mañana en NY antes de coger el avión aprovechamos para ir al Westside al barrio de Chelsea. Es una zona llena de galerías de arte y casas bajitas en hilera (las llaman rowhouses). Me pareció un barrio muy agradable. Le decía a mi madre "Si viviese en Manhattan (sueño pero bueno...) no me importaría vivir aquí, aunque no es el Upper East Side no esta nada mal :)"

The last morning in New York, before taking the plane, we went to the Westside to see the Chelsea neighborhood . It is an area full of art galleries and row houses. I found it a very nice neighborhood. In fact I told my mother "If I lived in Manhattan (I'm a dreamer, but ...) I do not mind to live here. This is not the Upper East Side but is so cute :)"

Esa mañana estrené las orejeras/cascos de música que me regaló mi madre de American Eagle. Son cascos que abrigan :). Lo primero que pensé cuando los vi: Bien! puedo esquiar con música.

Mañana de todas formas publicaré todas las compras del viaje y de donde es cada cosa. Tengo pensado hacer una entrada con recomendaciones porque mucha gente me ha dicho que va a ir y la verdad es que descubrí algunos sitios que no tienen desperdicio.

That morning I wore my new earmuffs / headphones my mother gave me from American Eagle. . My first thought when I saw it was: Cool! Now I can skiing with music.

Anyway tomorrow I'll publish all the NY purchases . I also have thought about making an entry with some of my recommendations to you because many people have told me they will go and the truth is that I found some places that have no waste.

Además entramos a tomar un café en el típico dinner, con aspecto de caravana donde sirven desayunos.

Una de las cosas que descubrí en este viaje es que me encantan los edificios de ladrillo con carpinterías negras. Me he fijado y sacaba fotos a muchísimos edificios así porque me llamaban la atención. Cuando empecé la carrera era la típica que odiaba el ladrillo, pero porque en Madrid se ven bastantes bodrios. Sin embargo hay buenísima arquitectura de ladrillo y si ya estos años me estaba empezando a gustar en NY definitivamente me he enamorado.

We have a coffee in a typical dinner. One of the things I found out on this trip is that I love brick buildings with black carpentry. I noticed that I have taken lots of pictures of many of this buildings that have caught my attention. When the I got into my architecture school I hated brick, maybe because there so many horrible and bad quality brick building in Madrid . However, when I started my career I could see that there are very good brick architecture and after this NY experience I'd definitely love them.

Este es un restaurante donde cenamos una noche, en la plata baja del Emprire State. No lo recomiendo para nada...nos atendieron fatal, estuvimos hora y media esperando mesa en vez de los 15 minutos que dijeron y encima la relación calidad precio era malísima.

This is a restaurant, on the main floor of the Empire State Building, where we had dinner. I do not reccomend It at all...the service was awful. We had to wait an hour and a half for the table instead of the 15 minutes they told us.

No hay nada mas alucinante que ir a Times Square de noche. Allí anochecía como a las 5 de la tarde y nosotras después de todo el día de turismo siempre acabábamos aquí o viendo tiendas.

Es impresionante la cantidad de gente, de luces, de paneles publicitarios...hay una masa de gente yendo y viniendo permanentemente. Entramos en el Toys'R Us como me recomendasteis. Hay una noria dentro de la tienda!!!

There is nothing more amazing to go to Times Square at night. There the dark comes at 5 pm and then after a long day of sightseeing we went there or to see some stores.
There's a lot of people, lights, billboards ... there is a mass of people coming and going constantly. We went into the Toys' R Us as you recommende me. There is a wheel inside the store!

Tienen unas cosas los americanos...entre la Apple store que os enseñé el otro dia, la FAO (la fabrica de juguetes que esta al lado) y el Toys're Us parece que en vez de tiendas hacen parques temáticos. Lo que mas me gustó la zona de Wonka :). Me gusta mucho la peli de Charlie y la Fábrica de Chocolate y me hizo mucha gracia ver tabletas wonka.

That country have that kind of things ... with the Apple store that I show you the other day, the FAO (the toy factory is next to it) and Toys' R Us store that seems to be a theme park. What I liked the most was the Wonka area :). I really like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie and I was amused to see wonka chocolates.

El día que fuimos al Soho llovió pero nos dio igual, compramos un paraguas para cada una y lo recorrimos entero. Es una zona que me había recomendado todo el mundo y realmente merece la pena. Es tan bonito. Está lleno de tiendas vintage, hay unos cafés y unas pastelerías preciosas.

Además a última hora convencí a mi madre y a mi hermana para que fuésemos al final de Bleeker st a Marc Jacobs, no podía irme sin hacerle una visita J. Nos e como no me mataron porque tuvimos que caminar muchísimo y llovía más que nunca. Entramos en Mark Jacobs caladas y a mi hermana de lo que llovía se le rompió la bolsa de papel donde llevaba lo que se había comprado. Nos trataron tan bien. Nos dieron una de sus bolsas y nos indicaron como volver a casa.

La excursión nos sirvió para ir toda la zona donde se supone que vive Carrie Bradshaw. Que barrio tan bonito! Mereció la pena la mojadura.

The day we visited Soho was raining a lot but we didn’t matter. We bought umbrellas and we went to see it all. It’s an area that people have recommended me so much and it’s really worthy. It’s so beautiful. It’s full of little vintage boutiques, cute cafes and lots of bakeries.

In the evening I convinced my mother and my sister to visit Marc Jacobs. I could not leave NY without making it a visit. I don’t know why I’m still alive because we had to walk a lot, Bleeker st to the end and the rain was so strong. We get into the store completely wet and my sister’s paper bag broke down. The Marc Jacobs workers treated us so well, they gave us some of their bags to replace ours and showed us how to go back home.
The tour let us know where Carrie Bradshaw is supposed to live. That area is so nice! (Even under a terrible storm)

Comimos en un vietnamita súper cutre que nos habían recomendado pero buenísimo. Creo que fue el día que mejor comimos, y a mí los sitios un poco cutres me llaman, tenía mucho encanto. Se llamaba Kelly&Ping. En el 125 de Greene St.

We ate at a vietnamese restaurant so seedy but so good. I like seedy stuff and that one was so charm??? It is called Kelly&Ping (125, Greene st).

Y conseguí el libro de Style de Lauren Conrad!!! por fin! llevaba meses buscándolo. Lo encontré en American Eagle, en una mesa donde estaban el de Rachel Zoe entre otros.

I finally found the Style book by Lauren Conrad! I have been looking for it for months. I found it at American Eagle store over a table with other books like the Rechel Zoe's.

Vimos también el Nuevo Museo de Arte Contemporáneo. Me encanta este edificio. Estoes hecho por Arquitectos SANAA. Se trata de dos arquitectos japoneses que tienen un gusto increíble, y sus obras refleja la limpieza y el orden de su cultura
Lo que me interesaba era el edificio, no la coleccion de dentro. Son unos cubos blancos apilados que se van desplazando dejando huecos para la entrada de luz en las salas del museo. COntrasta mucho con la imagen del barrio pero me gusto muchisimo el efecto.

We also saw the New Museum of Contemporary Art. I love this building. This is made by SANAA Architecs. They are two japanese architects who have an incredible taste, and their works reflects the cleanliness and orderliness of their culture.

What interested me was the building, not the collection inside. They are white cubes that are stacked up and they are moved to make holes for the light entering the museum rooms. It make a real contrasts with the image of the neighborhood, but I really like the effect.

Cuando subimos al avión en Madrid mi hermana y yo estábamos emocionadas y no parábamos de imaginar que podía pasarnos los días siguientes. Una de las cosas que me dijo fue “¿Te imaginas que nos encontramos con Olivia Palermo?”. Obviamente mi respuesta fue “Venga anda! No seas tonta”

Quien me iba a decir a mí que no solo iba a verla sino que iba a escucharla, hablar un rato con ella y sacarme alguna foto. No os imagináis el subidón de adrenalina que experimenté en ese momento...todavía no me lo creo...¿Qué más podía pasarme?. Podía haber sido cualquier otra, pero no, justo ella, la chica que más me inspira. Tengo su nombre en la columna de la derecha como uno de mis mayores iconos desde el día que abrí el blog.

When my sister and I got in the plane in Madrid we were making expectations of the trip. One of the things she told me was “What if we found Olivia Palermo on the street?” Obviously my answer was “Come on! Don’t be silly!”
Who was going to tell me that not only I’m meeting her but also I’m talking to her and taking some pictures of ourselves. You can’t even imagine what I felt that moment. I still cannot believe it! What else could be happened to me in NY?. It could have been any other, but no. I meet her, the girl who is on my icon list at the sidebar from the minute I opened this blog.

But that’s not all. I also meet one of the international bloggers that I admire: Natalie, from Natalie off duty. She was so nice nd I couldn't belive I met her the same day as Olivia. That was too much :)

Este día lo dedicamos todo a la parte sur de Manhattan.

Lo primero que hicimos fue coger el ferry a Staten Island, es gratuito y se ve la estatua de la libertad, además la vista de Manhattan desde el agua merece la pena.

Ya había cogido este ferry la vez anterior que estuve en NY. Estuve muy poco tiempo y vi lo típico. Una de las cosas que más me apetecía conocer era el puente de Brooklyn.

We dedicated this day to see the south of Manhattan.
Fist of all we took the ferry to Staten Island, It’s free and you can see the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan from the water. It’s worthy. I have already taken that ferry when I visited NY a few years ago. I was just a day and I saw only the most important things so this time what I want to visit the most was the Brooklyn Bridge

No se por que me atrae mucho. Lo recorrimos entero y me encantó. Es un paseo alucinante. Caminar sobre un puente así, con esas vistas de la ciudad y ese día que nos hizo creo que fue uno de mis momentos favoritos del viaje.

Me encantó porque coincidimos allí con unos amigos y estuvimos haciendo turismo con ellos todo el día. Me lo pase genial. Además mi madre se encontró con un compañero de la universidad al que hacía años que no veía, en pleno puente te Brooklyn…el mundo es un pañuelo :)

I don’t know why but that bridge is so attractive to me. We walked trough it all and I definitely loved it. It’s an incredible place. I think that walking over the water, with those views of the city was my favourite moment of the NY trip.

That day was so cool because we meet there some friends and we were visiting the city with them. I had a lot of fun. Also my mum found a college classmate in the middle of the Brooklyn bridge!... the world is so small…

Later we went to Tribeca and Soho and then came the best part. A huge announcement on Broadway at the TOPSHOP door announcing that Olivia Palermo will be there that afternoon!

BACK TO REALITY

Hoy toca viaje de vuelta. Es la ultima mañana que salimos del hotel a desayunar en nuestro Pret a Manger :) nos encanta desayunar ahí. Desde ahí actualizo.

Me quedan muchísimas cosas que contar. Perdonad si no estoy contestando a los comentarios peor no tengo tiempo...eso si me los leo todos! si no me los leyera no me habría enterado de que ayer estaba Olivia Palermo en la tienda de TOPSHOP de Brodway. Si!!! estuve un ratito con ella! además no había mucha gente. Estuvo hablando de trucos de estilo, le hicieron preguntas etc...ya pondré una entrada en condiciones. Además vi el puente de Brooklyn, la estatua de la libertad, el soho....

En cuanto llegue a Madrid os cuento todo y me pongo al día.

Voy a echar de menos NY, que ciudad mas maravillosa.

Today we are taking the flight back to Spain. This is the last morning we left the hotel to have breakfast at our Pret a Manger:) we love having breakfast there. I update there every morning.
I still have many things to show you. Forgive me if I'm not replying the comments but I have no time ... I read them all! if I hadn't read them I wouldn,t have known about the OliviaPalermo presentation in the Broadway Topshop store. Yes! I was a little bit with her! There weren't too many people.She was talking about style tips, we could asked hem questions etc ... I'll make a real post about it, promise. I also went to see the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, the soho ....

THE MET STEPS

Ayer fue un día muy Gossip Girl. Tocó la zona norte de la ciudad y como llovía un poco aprovechamos para ver museos.

Fuimos al Guggenheim y al MET y no pudimos evitar estar un rato sentadas en las escaleras y sentirnos como Serena y Blair a la hora del almuerzo. Por cierto encontramos el colegio de los chicos :) pero el de ellas pillaba lejos. Ruedan en el Museo de la ciudad que está bastante al norte, al final de Central Park y no fuimos. Por lo visto en realidad, las que si que toman el almuerzo en las escaleras del MET son las alumnas del MaryMount School que esta en frente, al que le hice fotos porque es un colegio precioso.

Yesterday was a very Gossip Girl day. We visited the north of the city and as it was raining a little we took advantage to see the museums.
We went to the Guggenheim and MET and we could not resist to spend a minute sitting on the stairs and feel like Serena and Blair at lunch. Indeed we find the boys school . The girls school is filmed s in the City Museum which is in the really north, at the end of Central Parkand and we diddn't have enough time. In real life, there is the Mary Mount School in front of the MET so they take lunch on the MET steps. I took pictures because it is a wonderful school.

Dimos un paseo por el upper east side y encontré una tienda de Laduree! Me hizo mucha ilusión porque nunca había visto una.

Al final pasamos por delante del hotel Palace sin darnos cuenta. El hotel donde vive Serena en la primera temporada de la serie. Estaba precioso, con un árbol de navidad enorme en la entrada.

We took a walk along the upper east side and I found Laduree store! I was thrilled because I had never seen one.
At the end we could see the Palace hotel without planning it. The hotel where Serena lives at the first season It was beautiful with a huge Christmas tree at the entrance.

5TH AVENUE AND CENTRAL PARK SUNSET

Podría dedicarle una entrada entera a la 5av. Es magnifica. Todas las tiendas que tiene, la decoración…eso de recorrer una calle donde vas viendo las mejores tiendas, los mejores edificios, todo lleno de taxis, coches aparcados en la puerta de Tiffany’s, Cartier, Luis Vuitton…con el chófer esperando a que salgan llenos de bolsas…

Y ese punto clave de la calle, con Central Park al fondo , el Hotel Plaza, la Apple store y las puertas del upper east side… Es una calle mágica. Aunque Madison av tampoco se queda atrás :), pero no es lo mismo.

I could write a whole post about the 5th av. It’s awesome. That stores, the decoration…being walking down the street and see cars stopped in front of Tiffany’s or Cartier with the car driver waitting for them to get them out full of bags…
And that point where Central park starts, with the Plaza Hotel, the Apple Store and the first sight of the upper east side drives me crazy. Although, Madison av is also amazing, but It’s not the same.

Comimos el típico perrito caliente y vimos atardecer en Central Park. Me alucina que en medio de una ciudad como NY puedas encontrar un sitio en pleno Manhttan donde apenas se oiga el ruido y que parezca que estas en medio del campo…Es uno de los lujos de Manhattan.

Me pareció un paseo tan de película. Todo me sonaba: ahí sale a correr Charlotte, ahí se reconcilian Blair y Serena, ahí pasea Carrie…

We ate the tipical hot dog and we saw the sunset at Central Park. I freak out with the fact that you can find a place with peace and out of the city noise in the middle of Manhattan…It seems like being in the countryside. That is one of the Manhattan’s luxuries.
It was like a movie walk. Everything looks familiar: there’s where Charlotte runs, there’s where Blair and Serena get apologize, Carrie was there….

NEW YORK CHRISTMAS

Cuando vi Manhattan desde el avión todavía no me creía que estuviese otra vez aquí. El viaje salió redondo y el hotel es una monada. Estamos en el midtown, al lado de la Grand Central y tenemos todo bastante a mano. El primer día lo dedicamos a ver casi todo lo típico. La Biblioteca pública, el Rockefeller Center, San Patricks, subimos al top of the Rock, Central Park, la 5 av...pero lo mejor es el ambiente newyorkino mezclado con el navideño. Esta todo lleno de lucecitas y en cuanto anochece encienden toda la ciudad. Además no hace mucho frío.
When I first saw Manhattan from the plane I still couldn’t belive that I were here again. The trip was perfect and the hotel is so nice. We are staying in the midtown, nearby the Grand Central and we have a lot of things to see so close. We have spent the first day visiting the topics. The Public Library, The Rockefeller Center, San Patrick's Cathedral, we went up the Top of the Rock, Cental Park. The 5th av…but the atmosphere is what I love the most and It’s also christmas time so they turn on the city light when It starts to get dark. It’s also not so cold.

Es impresionante, todo recuerda a las películas, todo tiene melodía, te vienen frases a la cabeza, momentos del cine, canciones...Manhattan es la isla mas cosmopolita y más alucinante que existe.

Todo está lleno de edificios increíbles, rascacielos amontonados que se quiten importancia unos a otros. Si te vas fijando en cada uno de ellos te das cuenta de lo buenos que son y lo poco que llaman la atención por estar rodeados de otros iguales o mejores.

It’s amazing, everything reminds me to some movie, everything has melody, movie moments coming to my head any minute, songs…Manhattan is the most cosmopolitan island of the world.

Everywhere is full of great buildings that make the other less important because there are others around. If you pay attention you can find lots of incredible buildings.

Cuando subimos había algo de niebla en la ciudad. Yo ya había subido en verano y recuerdo ver desde arriba Central Park inundado de puntitos. Gente tomando el sol. Esta vez era una vista diferente pero con mucho encanto. Tengo que decir que me esta gustando mucho mas visitar NY en invierno que en verano. Por todos lados suenan villancicos de los que a mi me gustan!

Las vistas de la ciudad son alucinantes y el edificio es increíble. Todo el complejo Rockefeller.

When we get to the top there were some fog in the City. I have already been there one summer and the views were so diferent. There was a carpet of people sunbathing in Central Park.

This time the views are different but I have to admit that this time is being better then the other. I prefer to visit the City in winter. There’s carols everywhere!

Anyway the views there are huge and the building is unbeliveable. The whole center is it.

Justo antes de irme fui al Fashion Market de Uniccos. No podía perdérmelo. Por si no la conocíais es una página web que lleva ropa, complementos, regalos...de diferentes creadores. El collar de la Party For no Reason es de ellos, de Marmara Collection, que por cierto estaba allí expuesta y me encantó la colección.

Just before my departure to NY I went to the Fashion Market UNICCOS. I could not miss it. This is a website that has clothing, accessories, gifts ... differentcreators. The necklace of the Party For No Reason is theirs, Marmara Collection, which was there exposed and I loved the collection.

Había un mercadillo con todas las colecciones expuestas como por ejemplo:

AGUMA, BELENCI, ENESPIRAL, HELMETDRESS, MARÍA TORNE, MARMARA COLLECTION,
MIMETIK, NU, ONEGRAPHICGIRL, OSMIT, SANKYS, UNICCOS...

Ademas hubo un desfile de moda que presentó Aida de Dulceida y los looks estaban montados por Alexandra de Lovely Pepa.

Fue una tarde increíble. Además vi a Sara de Collage Vintage, que tenia muchísimas ganas de conocer en persona y coincidí con Lola de Mi Estilo Dia a Dia. Me encantó verla porque la conocí en valencia en el evento de Q2 y la admiro muchísimo. Es un encanto.

It was an incredible evening. Also saw Sara from Collage Vintage, who I wanna meet for a long time and Lola from Mi estilo Dia a Dia whom I met her at the event valence in Q2 and I admire her very much.
The truth is that Alexandra did a great job because the parade was lovely.

Tuve crisis...como siempre que me voy de viaje, y es que no tenia una maleta de una tamaño decente para irme porque mi hermana, que es más rápida que nadie ya se la había apropiado. Yo, que no soy nada rápida para esas cosas como siempre tenía dos opciones, o la maleta gigante, enorme, que parece mas grande que yo...o una ridícula casi de cabina....

I had my little crisis ... as always it is about traveling, and I did not have a suitcase of a decent size to go because my sister, who is faster than anyone had appropriated the best one. Yo, I'm not that fast so I had two options, the enormous, huge one that seems even bigger than me... or a another almost ridiculous ....

Mis padres me prohibieron llevarme la grande porque decían que era una exageración...blabla...menos mal que vinieron mis amigas a casa y cuando vieron mi minilameta hicieron el comentario adecuado delante de mi madre...menos mal que además una de ellas me dejo una maleta porque si no...

Bueno, después de todo el rollo ya esta :) todo listo! Bye Bye Madrid ;)

No tengo ni idea del tiempo que tendré para actualizar...los comentarios lo mas seguro es que no pueda contestarlos...lo siento. A la vuelta me pongo al día.

My parents forbade me to take the big one because they said that was an exaggeration ...blabla ... luckily my friends came home and when they saw my little suitcase they made the perfect comment at the right momet, just in front of my mother ... luckily one of I borrow me her suitcase ...

GAATS. PINK PARTY PHOTOS

Una de las marcas en el espacio de Enfant Terrible era GAATS y Sil (La Otra Horma del Zapato), Elena (Style in Madrid), Paula (Peeptoes) y yo nos pusimos una de sus blusas. Eran monisimas, en colores pastel y con cuello redondo :)

One of the brands in the Enfant Terrible space was GAATS and Sil ((La Otra Horma del Zapato), Elena (Style in Madrid), Paula (Peeptoes) and I tried one of his blouses. They were so cute, pale tones and round neck:)
